Everywhere it's snowing... except where I live, but that may be because it's actually summer right now. :(:(
Also sorry to hear about friend's mother and I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for you to not be able to be with her.

Snow is good, Sophie. Except when it's a blizzard. Or when I'm surrounded by people who don't wanna play in it. Which is pretty much everyone I currently know who lives within driving distance. All my friends who like snow tend to live too far away from me for me to get to them when it snows. *sigh*

And yeah, it being summer where you live DOES put a bit of a damper on the snow thing. But look at it this way: It'll be snowing in YOUR neck of the woods when it's hot as blazes or raining like cats and dogs in MINE. ;) *grin* Would you like me to send our measely 2 inches your way in the meantime though? 'Cuz I totally would, as I do not like to see any usually happy campers be unusually unhappy. *sends snow clouds your way*

Sometimes I do, but sometimes I OD on it
:D
Sort of like eating too much of something too rich.

I think I MAJORLY ODed on it LAST winter. It snowed every weekend for three or four months straight. Effectively
shutting my bi-weekly outings down until Spring hit. Urgh! :(

Nice analogy you've created there though,
dude! :D Reminds me of hot cocoa. *lol*

Every time it snowed last year, it added to the snow that came before. Which meant by the end of February we had a sheet of ice underneath the fresher snow so deep and hard that it didn't completely melt until MAY! I thought I liked snow, until last year happened. Everyone in my family fell or almost fell in it last year. It was NOT as fun as I remember it being, to say the least ( ... )

Oh, I'm sorry you've had such a crapfest lately. I can't imagine how frustrated you must feel. I'm glad you like the pretty snow (we're getting 16" in the next 24 hrs.--I do not feel the love) and that it perks you up.

I've never seen Ugly Betty *gasp* but I may have to give it a try. Hope things even out for you soon *sends hugs*. January is usually a time when budgets turn over so maybe people will be hiring again?

In general, crapfests suck for ANYONE. I especially hate the snowball effect that crappy things usually exhibit. :( One bad thuing turns into two, turns into three. Why can't GOOD things happen like that too, I wonder... *sigh*

No worries about never seeing Ugly Betty before though! ;) I myself just really saw it for the first time on tv when they aired the series finale of it back in April of 2010. I mainlined the rest of the episodes over the following summer
months.

It's a great show for what is, but it's about fashion, and working for a fashion magazine, something that I could care less about, as I can't stand fashion (be it clothing or otherwise) for fashion's sake. AND the characters are all either at least partially outlandish (Daniel and Claire and Alexis Meade and Marc and Amanda) or completely unlikeable (Wilhelmina), except for Betty and her family (who are all awesome), throughout the series. So, let's just say that it's an...acquired...taste. *grin*

I'm such a geek. I'm always rewatching movies/shows and rereading books. I don't know how I'm going to read every book in the world if I keep doing that. ;)

Sorry about your mum. That's really tough when your parents disapprove of you (but I can say from experience that it's also tough having a mother who smothers you).

It snowed so much at school, I was worried I might've been stuck there for another few days. THANKFULLY, I GOT OUT BEFORE IT DID.

I was a fan of Inception, if mostly because of how much further you can go with the ideas they presented there.

Bad things pile up, but hey, something good has to come along sooner or later, right? That's what I tell myself when things pile up, at least.

Sorry this is a month late (ok. ok. OVER a month late). I've been away from LJ recently, so I haven't really checked back at even my own entries...

Ah well. Inception was decent (It was a mindf**k and a half, but in the best possible way. :D) Alas, the addition of Leo D. puts it on the never-again list for me. Joseph and Ellen and the rest of the cast were all otherwise awesome though. I think I might have liked it better had Chris used his normal muse aka Christian Bale to play the role that Leo was playing. But, maybe that's just me. ;) *lol*

And yes, you're right. Good DOES come along. ;) Especially when I'm in the company of friends, such as yourself, & NOT immediate family. :) Also? The coming of Spring and warmer weather might help as well. :D I really hope everything is going well with YOU though! :) *mondo hugs*

Haha, no worries. It happens sometimes.

I could actually see Bale in any of the roles in the movie, for the most part.

SEE WORLD IS GOOD. And the snow is finally gone and melted (mostly) so this is a good omen of things to come.

YAY for Snow-Be-Gone Serum blanketing our areas!!! *grin*

So could I actually. Senor Bale is just THAT gooooood. ;)

Again with the almost monthly wait for an update. This MUST be a record. *lol*
