Roaches

I hate roaches, especially when they scamper toward my bare feet. And killing one is made all the more difficult when your cat is chasing it around the bathroom, and you can't spray it 'till you throw the cat out.

I think I inhaled a throatfull of roach poison, and I'm not sure I killed the roach.

bugs, pippin

Having the cats must make it hard to do efficient pest control, huh? The two times we had infestations boric acid mixed with a little powdered sugar worked wonders. Don't know if that's cat compatible, though. I get pleasure from visualizing the little buggers exploding.

My apartment is swarming with the damn things. They seemed to have increased in quantity after they sprayed bug stuff in here. I kill the ones in my room, but I let my cat have fun with the others. It's rather amusing, watching her bat at a roach, lay on it, and then eat it. :]]

In college, I used to read a graphic novel called "Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children". One of the story lines was about roaches, from their perspective: The roach spray doesn't kill them, but it is a powerful psychotropic drug, and some of them die by over-doing it, and falling off ceilings, etc. Then there was a gang of roaches who liked getting fucked up on roach spray, so they would purposely try to bait the humans into spraying them. I wish I still had my copy.
