Day 7: Well, today has been somewhat less productive than I'd hoped. I've put another (partial) coat of paint on the bedroom walls, and used up the last of my 5L of paint. It now looks a lot more like a proper room, but there are still a few patchy areas; I can deal with them later, once furniture etc. is all in place

That DVD shelf sounds really badly made. I suggest next time you need furniture, go for Ikea; it may be more expensive than Argos, but will come with all the requisite bits and will adequately perform the task it is designed for.

I was going to spare you all my rant on Ikea, but since you bring it up, see my next entry.

And thanks for the good luck wishes - I'll do more studying when I've finished procrastinating on LJ :)
