Day One
She doesn't behave as usual. Silence is not her style, and therefore stands out. But Daniel attaches no importance to it. Everyone has their own reasons for being lost in thought.
Especially as Vala is Vala.
Day Three
Daniel wonders.
If he's the only one who sees what's happening. Is he the only one who notices that Vala lives in another world, keeping aloof? She doesn't join conversations. She doesn't laugh at jokes. And above all she doesn't bother him, drive him out of his wits. Or rather doesn't cling to anyone.
Day Five
Vala looks tired, with a slight tinge of exhaustion, but she's still so beautiful.
And Daniel catches himself admiring her. But he isn't ready for humiliation and certainly not prepared to analyze his feelings and aspirations. Daniel advises her to relax, and for some reason starts to tell about the Bahamas, white sand and ranks of tall palm trees…
She goes away without listening to him finish.
Day Seven
Daniel can tell she's been been crying. And it constricts his heart. Daniel feels uncomfortable and helpless.
Rest of all are silent and look aside. it crossed his mind and he unserstands, the members if the squad are showing sensitivity. But he started to give way to emotions.
And then he begins to assume: Cam, Sam and Teal'c just hide their heads in the sand or don't want problems for themselves.
Because she could make a problems from nothing
Day Nine
Unlike the women who occupy the benches and watch over their children, Vala is standing. She's sad and thoughtful lost in the background of mothers talking among themselves, the loud cries of frolicking children about the perimeter of the playground
Vala just can't take her eyes off them.
Daniel is just a accidental witness.
And he suddenly understands everything, as he approaches and hears her whisper,"Happy Birthday, Adria."
