DC Dyke March - a month later

It was June 10th (my sister's birthday, yay for sisterhood), I took Miss M to the 2006 DC Dyke March. A couple weeks earlier, we had been walking on the street downtown talking about one of the Pride events that was going on that weekend--and Miss M, a veteran of Pride events of many years, remarked how unhappy she was with the commercialization

I just read up more on the Zendik commune, and the unflattering description of it made it sound like a bummer place. What I particularly didn't like was when a lesbian moved in there, lots of guys kept hitting on her, telling her that now she was in their commune she had to become heterosexual for them. Dykes beware.
