Pakistan 'same-sex' couple jailed

Look at their picture. Does this look like a "same sex" couple to you? Imbecile judge. As Margaret Cho would say, ignant. The whole problem is they have no idea what transsexual means, even though both ( Read more... )

***that there will be a time when the ones calling themselves 'muslims' will be the ones farthest from Islam***

I wouldn't be surprised, seeing this in the same vein as so many folks who call themselves Christians are the ones furthest away from the teachings of Christ.

Correspondents say that if convicted of an "unnatural offence" - a term used for homosexuality - they could be sentenced to life in prison.

Not just in this story, but all over including in many messages people send to me regarding my YT videos about my transition...there seems to be some obsession among people, especially religious people, about what is or isn't "natural". I don't really understand that since so much of what we do as human beings is technically "unnatural". It all boils down to what some people find offensive, usually for really dumb reasons like god said so.

My first thought was, he's a woman? He's very good-looking to me and looks quite fine and manly. No judge of anything, of course, but honest to god, why does any outsider have to look deeper?

My second thought was shock, horror, and sympathy, when I read this:

"Shumail Raj, 31, had sex-change surgery to become a man and then married his cousin - who was aware of the condition but says she needed his help to avoid being forced into wedlock with someone else. "

And I would NOT be surprised that this is a big part of the reason for the uproar. A girl refused the man chosen for her? Blasphemy!

I can't tell you how disgusted and sick these kinds of stories make me.

This was posted to the ftm community yesterday. Your right - he looks nothing like a woman!

As elenia28 said, I was horrified when I read about the forced marriage. That such things still happen makes me cringe for humanity...

This is just horrifying. It reminds me of the situation of queer people
in Zimbabwe.
