I got it for only 20 bucks, half what it cost her. I still make out fine in the deal.

Yeah I probably would have told her that's fine just send it along. A hemline shouldn't be too hard to fix on your own if you have a sewing machine (and can sew a straight line ;))

When I got it, the hem in back had been sewn badly in a way that made the fabric bunch up a little. I showed it to my friend at work, who is handy with a needle, and she said she can easily redo the hem. For free.
