I've never heard of anyone cutting a mosquito bite "to let the poison out." (Jeeze, House, did you go to med school in the Boy Scouts or something?) That mosquito bite was freighted with more symbolism than a freshman year English lit class.

That contraption in House's apartment is an outdoor mosquito exterminating unit called a "Skeeter Getter," IIRC. I read an article about them a few years ago when West Nile virus started becoming a problem and people went to insane extremes to kill every mosquito on their property. I did love the Wily Coyote "uh-oh" expression on House's face when he realized he was about to blow up his apartment. Hehee!

Indeed it was. I was waiting for him to cackle and maniacally scratch at it.

Oh, I see. The slapstick was great! We haven't seen something like that on the show in a long time.

Cameron's mom is like the fat mama in What's Eating Gilbert Grape. And one day, they'll have to tear down the door to drag her out. House would have a field day with that one.

The mosquito thing was like a cartoon. Which made this episode all the more awesomner.

On the other hand, it left me... down. :( In a good way? ehh... I'm a sucka for this stuff.

Yes! I love that movie! I thought the mosquito thing was the funniest thing I've seen on the show so far. I'm all for the wisecracks and sarcasm but the slapstick made my night. :)
