Room 332 - Monday Morning

Aug 31, 2009 09:54

Joan was taking advantage of having her Mondays off this term by sleeping in. There was a grey kitten curled up at her side.

[for that guy first, then the roomie if she's around and so desires]

liir is a kitty, room 332, liir

Liir, for his part, was unaware of the change when it happened. There was one moment when he was small and warm and curled up next to Joan and then, still asleep, he was large and warm and curled up next to Joan.

Being very much not a morning person, it took a good minute or two for Joan to come awake enough to realize that, number one, Liir was no longer a kitten and, number two, he was currently naked in her bed.

When that second realization hit, Joan scrambled to get out of the bed, tangling her feet in the sheets and falling.

Liir was usually pretty good about waking up; he was a very light sleeper. But apparently, being a kitten was very hard work. He just sort of tugged one of the blankets back up, murmured, and dropped back to sleep.

Okay, so, naked boy in her bed. Joan could handle this maturely, right?

Just... give her a minute to contain her flailing.

She moved next to the bed and gingerly touched Liir's (naked, omg) shoulder. "Liir?"

"Hey, Joan," Penelope said when she came in, waving absently as She sat down at her desk with a stack of letters she'd picked up at the post office. She began to open the first one, seeing that it was from her mother.

"Liir's not a cat anymore," Joan said. That totally counted as a greeting, right?

Oooh! "He's not? How'd that come about?"

Her letter was not so interesting anymore.

"He was human when I woke up."

And naked. Very very naked. Not that Joan was mentioning that.
