Coolness -- I love reading this kind of thing, and of course I have zero familiarity with Castlevania canon! When you're done with it, will you post it to the meta thread?

Oh, and the boss's name being Walter tickles me. It reminds me of some anime I saw long ago at a college anime club night, where the villain's name was Dark Schneider, and there were warring kingdoms named after metal bands.

Sure! If I ever finish it (have too much written; it needs a lot of editing).

It made me think of an evil vampiric Walt Disney. Maybe 'Walter' was a popular name around 1000AD and earlier in Europe...? Still, seems like an odd choice. Haha! I've seen that. Bastard!, I think. And Bastard!! the manga title? Something like that. One kingdom was Metallicana, can't remember the rest.
