Peace Corps
So it occurs to me that I might not have actually posted here that I've been accepted in the Peace Corps. Not only that, but I'm actually starting quite soon. On Monday, I'm flying to San Francisco for Staging (wherein they follow up on any shots we might lack and then teach us what not to do if we want to avoid international incidents. I finally figured out what to wear for Halloween
I prefer the simple costumes, so I'll just get myself a blood-red shirt, get it a little dirty, and write Disfigu(red) on it in white. According to the suggestions of some people, I wouldn't even have to make a weird face to pull the costume together ( Read more... ) -
Back, with a new interest in international news
I realize I haven't updated in a while. My official excuse is that I'm distracted by a major change in my life.

Continued disaster in the south
I got back from volunteering in Biloxi, MS about 6 hours ago, and I'm still vaguely shell-shocked. Not that there were any dramatic events (or more to the point, major storms), thankfully ( Read more... ) -

Have you ever had a day where everything seemed to be okay, but nevertheless you felt like you could just really use a hug?
Yeah, that's where it seems like I've been for the past several weeks.
