Zumsteg lives up here, is a serious Mariners fan, and helps run the best Mariner blog around, the USS Mariner. They throw pizza feeds every once in a while. He's a neat guy in person. Easy to talk to, right about our age. Good folks.

I may have seen the USS Mariner. You may have even pointed me to it a time or two. I also may have read BP when Zumsteg was there. In fact, he may be one of the guys who was in LA for a Pizza feed years ago (that one I truly can't remember). :P

I enjoy his writing. I'd like to meet him and Rob Neyer, among the "name" baseball people who live up that way.

I've met them both. Neyer's all right. I haven't read his stuff in years, but he's fun to talk to.

Zumsteg's a hoot. Just as whacky in person as he is in his writing. Maybe a little lower-key than you'd expect, but still very funny.
