One of the books I read on the plan to St. Louis was "The Law in Classical Athens" by Douglas McDowell. If you are interested in learning how the Athenian democracy and its legal system works, I recommend it. It is concise, clear, and well written. While I have many negative things to say about Sony, it appears they got their heads unstuck on the Sony ReaderIt's supposed to have better than newsprint contrast and it allows you to put documents in the following unsecured formats to it: BBeB Book, Adobe® PDF, TXT, RTF, Microsoft® Word (which is a huge change from their Japanese version). This weekend I read the first two books of "The Age of Discovery" series by Michael Stackpole (A Secret Atlas and Cartomancy). He's currently working on the third book in the series. I'm hoping that he's writing for the standard trilogy so that I can get the satisfaction of a completed story sooner rather than later.

While I've been sick (stomach flu), I haven't done much. Once I started feeling better, I read some books, including Talion: Revenant by Michael Stackpole. It's among my favorite books by him (which says something, since I've enjoyed all of his books that I've read). His biggest flaw as a writer is a tendency to rush his endings.
