I've been following this a long time, but am bad and haven't commented yet. The whole story has been fantastic, and this chapter is as well! Hard to see them waffling around while separate, but probably for the best. Thank you for not leaving us completely heartbroken like on Thursday. Rose did say she was going to come back up to Kendal, so we have a bit of hope, or rather Peter does. Can't wait for Thursday! cheers

He’d made a right mull of things with Rose< I can guess what you mean, but I've never heard this phrase before.
He knew exactly why Rose had delayed in telling him. Or suspected, at least. Because he had done the same thing with Natalie. He had done worse with Natalie, honestly. Here's one of the real strengths of this chapter-- You have them contemplating each other's reaction very logically now that they have a bit of emotional and physical distance from the moment of denoument.

Let's assume McGreevy was in on this with someone, say, at Torchwood, or at the very least in London. If there's more than one teleporter, and it's at Swinson's, couldn't it be accidentally triggered if they don't even know how it works?

Pete and Jackie's comments should be interesting. They both know Rose's history, they've both met the Doctor, but they've got some distance from this particular situation.
I'm also curious about what's going on with the case - but at least there's some headway there. We know whose body it is, we know what the gadget does, that's a few more puzzle pieces.
I hope Rose gets back to Kendal by next Monday's chapter.

I think just about the entire next chapter focuses on Rose. Which means many of your musings will be addressed, in one way or another. The case itself will roll along rather nicely from here--but as to Rose returning to Kendal by next Monday? I'll give that a solid 'maybe.'

One wonders whether it's Pete or Jackie who will speak up on Peter's behalf, even though they don't know him from Adam.
Not that Rose needs quite the thumping that's been called for in the past few chapters.

I can be mean/evil/cruel--but it would have been too much to do two chapters like that, back-to-back.
