Teaser Tuesday (on a Wednesday)

Hello guys! Sorry for not posting this on a Tuesday, but I was busy yesterday (read: the bf introduced me to Bioshock). But here I am! 
The teaser I'm going to be posting is just a super short piece, about 300 words, but I think it tells a lot about the mood for the story. And, there's no spoilers, so if you're reading this from the distant future,

Is this from your sandman story?

I'm so happy to read a teaser from you. I found this snippet gritty and quite disturbing (and it reminded me of some bad things in my past), but I loved it nonetheless.

Yep, it is from my sandman story.

Ooh, gritty is good. I drew from my own life experiences for some of the morbid and depressing scenes (such as this one). I want it to be real, and to deal with real problems that some people pretend don't exist.

Wow, this story is very hard hitting. It makes me sad a bit because it brings up memories of my turbulent childhood. Ah...

It sounds fantastic though. This really sounds like your dream story. Is it? Sounds great though!

Yeah, it's a very dark and disturbing story. I've had to use my own experiences for inspiration.

My childhood wasn't the least bit traumatic, so I always find it interesting and eye-opening to read about characters who live lives different from mine. I agree that it's definitely important to talk about issues like these that some people pretend don't exist.

Bioshock looks AWESOME. I generally only last 5 seconds in shooters before I die though XD
