Now, N.L. Mars is just a pen name that I chose years ago to be anonymous. Mostly, I didn't want kids from my school to be involved with my hobby. I was scared that if they were to google my name, then they'd find my blog and make even more fun of me at school. I understand about being hesitant about using your real name on the internet - I really hope no-one in real life (without me already knowing) comes across my blogging or twittering lol. I think your real name is awesome - I can imagine it on the spine of a novel one day.

Your optimism is so inspiring. =D <3 I`m so proud of your choice. I wouldn`t be surprised if you got an agent by the end of the year, since you`re awesome that way.

And, yeah, I agree. People in high school are so immature (and still are). I`m just glad you`re taking a forward approach in life.

I would've hesitated to use my real name back in seventh and eighth grade too! It sounds like kids were as cruel or even crueler to you as they were to me. Kids can be so, so heartless, and for no other reason than that they think it's funny.

Nice to meet you too, Jessica! I'm glad you're "coming out," so to speak. Luckily, you're in the best community around now... full of writerfriends who just want to help and give support. :) Enjoy it!
