Aphrodite is standing before a three-way mirror, peering closely at herself. For once she doesn't seem to be indulging in vanity; rather, she is inspecting herself for ... blemishes?

She turns around and elevates an elegantly plucked eyebrow. "Well, princess. What brings you to seek the advice of the most fetching of your patrons?"

"I was not trying to come here, I was trying to reach Athena." She picks herself up off the floor and flicks her hair out of her face.

"But as I am here, you could tell me what happened between yourself and Circe."

Surprisingly, the goddess of beauty does not pout at the sound of Circe's name. Instead her face grows cold and remote--still beautiful, still unquestionably the epitome of feminity. "She insulted me for the last time, and I served as my own champion to requite the hag's insolence."

"When she died so did all evidence against her. Where is 'Lyta?" She's being more forward than normal but the God's games are threatening her island and people.

John didn't get much of a chance to talk to Diana after Lois Lane came around with whatever crisis is bothering her this week... so he's waiting at the base of Mount Olympus, having come with Diana here. Getting a sense that maybe she'd rather be left alone to handle her business on her own, but he came with anyway. Even if she wasn't in much of a chatty mood. He wouldn't be either.

He's not sure if he's being supportive or being annoying at the moment. Times like these are when doubts bubble up.

MOUNT OLYMPUS. Stuff he was taught as mythology. Even with Hippolyta among the Justice Society. He's dating the champion of Athena. After being engaged to a blue girl from Bevacqua Seven. After being married to a purplish-orange girl from Korugar.

He hasn't told them, but he can already hear his family's reaction. Can't you find a nice girl from around the way? And Damon would say something worse. I'd settle for someone HUMAN.

Hell with it. His family doesn't like him much anyway, what's one more thing?

She almost drifts down the mountain again, confused at why she had not been given audience with Athena. Looking thoughtful she lands lightly next to John.

"I think I have accomplished all I can here for now."

But he has to blink at her for a moment.

"... Olympus has a hair salon?"

"No, it has a goddess of beauty who likes to keep trying to improve me." Her hand touches her hair to see exactly what was done to it, tracing the springy curls.
