Aphrodite is standing before a three-way mirror, peering closely at herself. For once she doesn't seem to be indulging in vanity; rather, she is inspecting herself for ... blemishes?

She turns around and elevates an elegantly plucked eyebrow. "Well, princess. What brings you to seek the advice of the most fetching of your patrons?"

"I was not trying to come here, I was trying to reach Athena." She picks herself up off the floor and flicks her hair out of her face.

"But as I am here, you could tell me what happened between yourself and Circe."

Surprisingly, the goddess of beauty does not pout at the sound of Circe's name. Instead her face grows cold and remote--still beautiful, still unquestionably the epitome of feminity. "She insulted me for the last time, and I served as my own champion to requite the hag's insolence."

"When she died so did all evidence against her. Where is 'Lyta?" She's being more forward than normal but the God's games are threatening her island and people.

Aphrodite shrugs. "On Themiscyra, I suppose. I bear no particular malice or love for the witch's brat. Only for her cow of a mother."

"She has been stolen from the island Aphrodite. And it was not Circe as she was stolen while you and she battled. There is one other who would have an interest in this child." she is keeping her voice low and nuetral.

"What do you know of her father's doings?"

That invokes a smug smile from Aphrodite. "Quite a lot, considering how often he comes to my bed."

Valiantly resisting the urge to roll her eyes at the smug tone.

"I meant his dealings in Man's World."

"Oh, those." Aphrodite rolls her eyes, looking bored. "I sometimes watch when the West Point cadets invoke him every year, but really, princess. Who can keep up with all his little schemes?"

"It is important Aphrodite. If he has stolen 'Lyta there is no telling what he has planned for her." She looks serious.

"And if he is behind the other things happening then my Sisters are in grave danger. You had a hand in creating our nation, I hope you do not wish to see us perish so quickly."

"Of course I don't. What kind of goddess would I be if I ignored my worshippers?" Aphrodite fluffs her hair in the mirror, studying how it falls across her right eye, then changes the part so it falls across her left eye. "I'll have a word or two with Ares, shall I?"

"If you would that would be helpful." She's still suspicious of the goddess but she can't get to Ares and Aphrodite can.

"Please if you find something let me know, we need evidence and a way to fight this."

Aphrodite waves a pink-nailed hand at Diana, still studying her reflection. "Yes, yes. And speaking of fighting--" She turns around and examines Diana with a critical eye. "Looking good really is the best defense, you know." With a glittering flick of her fingers, she adds a little more body and curl to Diana's hair. "There. Every time I think I can't improve upon perfection, I amaze myself."

She sighs inwardly, she knows it's impossible to keep her from doing things like that.

"I am fine the way I am Aphrodite, my beauty is an inward thing as much as outward. Tampering with my looks will not make it better."

"Never underestimate the power of charisma, princess. Or the power a beautiful woman has over any man. Even if he doesn't get to see her naked."

"Remember to let me know if you find something out, please?" She lifts slightly from the floor, ready to make her way back to the embassy.
