Hawkman has calmed down considerably since his tantrum. Shayera tends to do that for him.
"Our issue is only with the Crime Syndicate itself, despite the fact that they all came here en masse. The question would be whether or not striking these other spots would unify all their teams against us, or if it would send them all scrambling to cover their own turf."
His arms cross.
"But it shouldn't matter. The point of these strikes will be to move in and out quickly, hopefully at multiple locations at once. One at a time will have us run into impossible resistance, but if we can manage multiple portals, we can try to not only DRAW their attention, but divide it in the process. Once we get Batman back, we can deal with the prospect of their unification and potential invasion then."
A beat.
"An advantage we would have in such a war is the fact that they kill all their opponents, and we do not... and the criminals we fight will have a vested interest in protecting our world from the CSA's conquest. If they're smart, they will help
"Is that all? Are we actually supposed to be worried about this? C'maan, give it a few more hours, and Ol' Grunty McGoo'll be back and picking chunks of antimatter out of his teeth with a batarang, and Syndicate scones on a platter for everybody."
Flash is about to respond to Jesse when Steel finally comes through.
"Yeah, Steel, this is Flash. We could really use your help in Nebraska here - big problem with the Crime Syndicate. We need to rejigger a portal to the Antimatter Universe - we've got raw parts here, but we don't have the know-how. Can you give us a hand?"
"We've got blueprints and schematics here to follow - just none of us really know how to follow 'em. The biggest pain in the tuchus would be the power source, but we might have ways around that."
::via the Titan's comm:: "This is Ibn al-Xu'ffasc. I've been notified of the situation. I have personal experience with alternative realities."
His voice gets a bit weaker. Not something he's used to. He's trying to keep this professional, but it is very difficult. "If there is anything I can to do help, I'd like to offer my assistance. I have a possible idea for something the other side might not expect."
"I am making transportation plans as we speak. My thought was this. The other universe is a mirror. People from this universe can expect opposites over there. We have access to people not from this universe that may be able to surprise them such as Nightstar and Brainac-5."
"Sorry, didn't mean to speak for Flash. He's getting some help. Are you okay?" Not exactly answering his question, but she hasn't heard from him - no one has - in so long...
Attention Flash. I've been following the comm traffic, and although other duties prevent me from actively working on Steel's idea, I took a few minutes to design a phase-shifter in line with Aquaman's plan - it will split the output of Steel's portal device randomly over a five thousand square mile diameter.
More simply, it will generate random exit points for the portals when you turn it on. I've uploaded the relevant schematics to the JLA central database - someone should really give me a password to it at some point - for Steel's perusal.
"Not mine to give, Brainiac, but thanks for the help. That will come in incredibly handy. Have Kid Flash make you some brownies, and tell him I told him to."
A turn to Ibn after his suggestion about sending EMP blasts through the portals.
"If there's ANY way at all we can avoid the war that the Syndicate wants, I think we should do it. Sending EMP blasts through the randomized portals could really be considered an act of war, and I don't want the League on the hook for instigating that. I've seen the destruction these guys can cause, and it ain't pretty."
He purses his lips.
"But it's a good contingency plan. Let's see what we can do."

"Where'd El Creepo run off to this time?"

"He got captured by the Crime Syndicate and taken to the Antimatter dimension."
