... if more of the fighters were still capable of bleeding. The carnage is horrific enough without that. Still, Athena sits in her seat, Nike still at her side, calmly watching the battle raging below her. Occasionally her eyes narrow and her lips move, though what she is whispering is not audible to Nike.

"Hades declared that I shall have a kingdom on Earth all my own. I trust the word of a God over a pathetic woman who sacrificed her powers out of foolish devotion."

He faces down the Hydra. "Cut one head off, two heads grow back, huh? Cute trick, but let's see what happens when - "
His chainsaw hand branches off into several smaller chainsaws - one for each of the Hydra's heads... and they squirm around into position with an incredible dexterity.
" - THEY ALL COME OFF AT THE SAME TIME, punk!"

"You're pissing me off, you ugly son of a bitch!"
Time to get tricky. He flattens down completely and stretches as quickly as he can along the ground, trying to get entirely underneath the monster... and once he manages to slide under it, he tentpoles up the four corners of his rectangular form far over the Hydra's heads to create a huge near-hammock out of himself...
And then it's a matter of sheer tensile strength.... and this is gonna hurt, but he forces it into himself... enough power to tighten the rest of his body... and then FLING the Hydra as far into the sky as his catapult-body can launch him... hopefully far over the mountain and out of everybody's hair.

He could hear, hear all the death and suffering and see them, see Them, see HIM HIM HIM HIM.
A man with red hair who could use a shave and a day of sleep was screaming.
"No no NO."
He couldn't take it.

Wally just sneers at Thawne.
"No, it's not fair, Thawne. But it'll be really freakin' satisfying."
But his uncle Barry's words are taken to heart. Yes, makes sense. Barry's already... dead. He glances to Bart and just nods. "Got it," is his only response... and then he's off, starting a whirlwind underneath Zoom... while at the same time forming a whirling speed cannon with one arm, picking up scattered rock debris and launching it through the cannon at Zoom - bombarding him with an upward avalanche...

Barry runs and jumps, kicking at the air for extra height.

Hades seizing Olympus would throw the balance out of whack, terribly, but god didn't sound too terribly anxious to pick sides. Athena's an order goddess, after all. They'll always be clashing. But god's not too hip on Hades seizing power, either. That'll be worse. So what does she tell him? "Use your best judgement. Geez. Good thing his faith is unshakable, or he'd be perturbed.
Best judgement then ... he knows which side his buddies are on ... even the ones who don't know he's their buddy, which is most of them. Green Arrow's down there. The bat kids. Still ...
Best judgement. A lot of them -- all of them, really -- are facing demons from their pasts. They're facing death, and that's something everyone has to do, eventually. It's just usually a little more, y'know, orderly. Pardon the expression.
Damn. He knows what she was talking about, now. What god was saying. They need to win this -- ( ... )
