A GCPD patrol car pulls up outside the gala site; the policeman who steps out of the vehicle looks tired. "Goddamned freaks pulling their goddamned freak shows and dispatch sends us here to check on a goddamned noise violation," he mutters to himself. "Hello? Anyone here? GCPD, investigating a complaint--" He sees the unconscious Pierce lying on the ground and swears, then gets on the radio to his partner in the car. "Get a bus here ASAP--we got the Secretary of Education down. Starting CPR--"

"Oh my God! Jeff!" Sue tries to run to his side, hampered by both her dress and the baby. She mentally curses herself for wearing the fashionable over the easy to move in.

Gotham's finest are there, putting on equipment, like breath masks and doing chest compressions. Sue has no choice to watch in horror and wonder if this is just a sick coniciedence or something more sinster.
