Regretfully, the Question left another note to Ted, apologizing for his abscence. He had business to take care of, and he was sure that the inventor would understand. He just hated to leave him, of all times.
While he grinding feeling that something bad was going to happen - it wasn't this, no matter how loud Hub screamed to him, something else - he dealt with it. Taking the first train he could to Hub City, he waited.
The trip was a bit of awhile, but once he returned to Hub, he was immediately stepping into the heart of the decomposing city.
"What infection ails you, my shivering and dying urbanian? What terrorizes thee?"
Dead in the streets weren't so unusual in Hub City; coming upon the pair of bodies and hearing their torment, the Question knelt down looking at their death ( ... )
