His cell phone hasn't stopped ringing. The lawyers are well trained and amply excited to earn their pay. Well, I suspect the quiet is about to end now.

He's been expecting a call from an unlisted number. The only question is who...

"Hello."

"How's the arm?"

[ibn_al_xuff]

"It aches just a bit, sir." He glances about looking for possible eavesdroppers. "Much better than being dead."

[tefe_holland]

She'd been listening to him answer phone calls and not wanting to intrude but there was finally a lull.

"It's been a while. How's your arm?"

[ibn_al_xuff]

"It hurts just a bit. But that can be managed..."

The last time they were together was during an uncomfortable crisis. "I trust all is well with you?"

"Do you want me to..." She gestures slightly at his arm, she's learning to offer rather than leap in.

"I'm okay, never thought I'd be in a team kind of thing. I guess it's better than travelling the afterlife or destroying the world."

[ibn_al_xuff]

"I wasn't certain if that would be a good idea. Such acts create a bond, even unintentially." Ibn holds up the cast wryly. "However, I suspect that it would be unfortunate if I were out of condition in the near future."
