I spent the weekend, amidst the storms and destruction, reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy [effing brilliant, BTW]. Not probably a great idea but definitley one to get the ol' plans for the shelter built and some canned goods gathered.

while i'm growing increasingly convinced that this is important, i also don't relish being called crazy.
but i guess i can always reply 'CRAZY LIKE A FOX!' and laugh knowingly.
now here's a question. where's the last place a robber would look for a stash of cash in one's house? because obviously books, the freezer, and the mattresses are out. :)
