I'm not sure Android works like iOS, but you need to take apps out of memory or they eat up battery time. Maraya was the one who told me that just a few days ago, so it's one of the nuances of smartphones that one learns further along down the line.
If it works the same with yours, push the Home button twice to bring up a screen showing what apps (including phone, calendar, clock, etc) are TSR. Hold down one of the app icons to make them wriggle, and then press the minus sign to actually terminate them from memory.
Time to consult your online manual, I suppose, if that doesn't work...
ETA: Sorry to have missed your calls. My evenings have been busy lately, and my chiro is asking me to ice my back and neck every day. I'll try to remember to keep my mobile with me tonite while icing and watching Fringe.
Thanks for the advice, Mar. While I don't know if Android works like iOS (there must be some similarities, I would think), Maraya's probably right about this, and I'm going to have to do some research on this or talk to the guys at WIND about it. I don't remember seeing anything about this in the Galaxy Nexus on-line manual, but I'll see. Thanks, again. :)
As for missing the calls, no worries. We'll connect at some point. :)
