I had a moment of privilege/realization while watching the Sarah Bareilles 'Brave' video. Have you seen it? The character rocking out in the library - unf. I had an overwhelming need to know if this character was a lady or a dude. And I couldn't tell how they were presenting and I couldn't figure out why the hell I needed to know

That Mary Lambert video really struck a chord with me this week, to the point of crying at my desk.
