Lost in memory lane?

[A soft voice asked from behind Aion. Lilith had been worried that the Sinner didn't appear for dinner or the coffee afterwards, but understood why he wanted space. Chrono was the reason. He had said something that made her fear for Aion's safety when they spoke. Chrono had changed. He had matured.

She looked at him, her thoughts and feelings unreadable behind a patience smile on her face. She lowered her eyelids, debating to take him to the Cathedral now or wait, she decided for the latter and moved to sit accross him.]

Would you terribly mind my company?

[That voice. Aion lightly grinned as he took another sip of his last glass. So she managed to find him again. "I... I know about Lilith." His eyes narrowed to that thought as he forced the drink down. He must have told her by now. Of course. The woman never ceased to stop asking him questions. He wasn't about to listen to her ridiculous sympathy. The sinner was about to make a remark along the lines of telling her to leave when her eyes met his. That poker smile though oddly sincere. He sighed and sat back in his chair as he softly agreed.]

All right. Take a seat.

[Not that he had much of a say in it. That was Lilith.]

[Whatever Chrono said to her or not, Lilith would not reveal, she takes a seat, reaching out for an empty bottle. How much has he drunk? Too much, she knows he has his inhuman limits, but he seems so vulnerable when he drowns himself in alcohol.]

I wish you talked more about your problems, Aion. The bottle isn't a reliable companion.

[He snickered. What good was it talking about his problems? They were all matters he had to fix and accomplish as simple as that. But he mused to this idea and humored her a bit. He playfully spoke with a gesture of his hand.]

Ha ha ha. And what do you want me to say? That I'm in need of holding your hand so that I may making it through the night? Heh, ridiculous. I'm not him. Certain plans needed adjusting. That's all. [Sips.]

[Lockon was there when Aion came in, tending bar, but for a while yet, he said nothing; he just served the drinks.

Still, it was obvious that there was something troubling Aion, and weren't bartenders supposed to help out with troubles, too? Actually, Lockon wasn't very familiar with that trope, but it was in his nature nonetheless.

So he leaned forward a little on the counter near Aion and regarded him with friendly curiosity.]

[The sinner simply averted his eyes towards the man as he spoke. The bartender. He looked back down at the bottle on his table and gave a smirk.]

It does its trick. Though I take if you have something else you'd like to offer me. What do you suggest?

[Smirks like that generally weren't good news. Lockon determined right then and there to turn it into a genuine smile if he could, if only for the challenge.]

I'm a little new to the bartending business, but I'm sure I could mix something up that's a little more exciting than that. Maybe a whiskey sour? The sour's in case you really want to hang onto that bad mood.

[He leaned back and slightly moved his chair to face the man. An interesting fellow. He seemed familiar but Aion couldn't put a finger on it especially at the moment nor did he really care to. It was still, however, worth prying the man so he accepted.]

As a matter of fact, I think I'm starting to feel better already.[He grinned.] The use of a sour with Whiskey. Sounds interesting enough though I'd prefer it straight. Entertain me why don't you.

Okay. I've been doing research, but haven't really found anything. I know other people are also hitting the books, but I haven't contacted them yet. I'll be making a trip to the library soonish, but I don't have high hopes of finding anything--it seems that the stacks are rather disorganized, and I don't think the "dieties" would be leaving relevant information lying around. I'm tempted to ask questions directly, if I knew how
