[Private voice to Solomon:/Unhackable]
It was nice meeting you at the hospital party, Doctor. Perhaps another opportunity will rise soon enough.

I've spoken to your suggested
colleague. She's quite the character I must say. A trump to your deck perhaps

[A soft voice asked from behind Aion. Lilith had been worried that the Sinner didn't appear for dinner or the coffee afterwards, but understood why he wanted space. Chrono was the reason. He had said something that made her fear for Aion's safety when they spoke. Chrono had changed. He had matured.
She looked at him, her thoughts and feelings unreadable behind a patience smile on her face. She lowered her eyelids, debating to take him to the Cathedral now or wait, she decided for the latter and moved to sit accross him.]
Would you terribly mind my company?
Reply
All right. Take a seat.
[Not that he had much of a say in it. That was Lilith.]

I wish you talked more about your problems, Aion. The bottle isn't a reliable companion.
Reply
Ha ha ha. And what do you want me to say? That I'm in need of holding your hand so that I may making it through the night? Heh, ridiculous. I'm not him. Certain plans needed adjusting. That's all. [Sips.]
Reply
No, you are not him. He doesn't hide behind alcohol like you do and he isn't the one who lost.
[She reminds him, releasing the empty bottle.]
What do you want to say? That's up to you, Aion, but I implore you to remember I will not be always here to listen.

[Aion's hand halted as he stared at her with his cold eyes to those words. What did she know. He had his victory as small and costly as it was but there was no solid proof as much as the others claim to know the future. There was no time to be lax. He had to see it through himself just as she... It's not as if she listens to him either as manipulative the reason may have been with a hint of hidden desire. The same all in all.]
I've never expected you to lend me your ear nor would I ever.

[She asked. He didn't appear a man celebrating a victory, he appeared someone musing how to avoid a defeat. She folds her hands on her lap and gave him a serene glance.]
The offer was made. The bottles don't have ears, Aion. Look around you. Who else is sitting with you?
[She didn't have to remind him who had lived with him for months in this unpredictable City. Who else did he have right now?]

[The woman is making him crave another bottle. He quickly swigged the last bit in his glass and deeply sighed.]

[She admits, lowering his gaze.]
I am scared for you.

[Aion met eyes with her again.]
You understand that more than anyone.

[Lilith replies and maintains his gaze.]
However, I don't believe that you are ready to die for your mission.

[He knew he could never swoon her in this manner as he would have to any other but it was oddly sincere despite the ulterior motives that followed those words and had to be attempted. He needed her.]
