Title: Love Me For Real
It was Heechul and Zhoumi’s wedding in which Siwon and Sungmin were invited. This meant that Siwon and Sungmin had to act like a couple once again. Sungmin can’t help but think that Siwon made their acting into extreme to the point that he even had to buy expensive couple rings. During the exchanging of wedding vows and putting on the rings, Sungmin unconsciously touched the ring on his finger.
As he looked at the wedding rings, it was way simpler and probably cheaper than what Siwon gave to him but it was full of love. Unlike the ring that Siwon gave him, it was nothing but a display on his finger for their couple act. The kiss that Zhoumi and Heechul shared by the end of their wedding was another thing that Sungmin envied. Siwon and Sungmin shared kisses years ago but that was purely out of lust and their need for physical contact. The last time Siwon and Sungmin kissed was just an act because Heechul and Zhoumi were watching them.
During the wedding reception, Heechul and Zhoumi were very sweet and loving to each other. Nothing but happiness and love were expressed from the newlywed couple. Sungmin wished that he would have a wedding like this someday except maybe for the part in which Heechul was wearing a wedding dress with a veil, high heels, bouquet and even lacey gloves. Who knows if Heechul was wearing a bra and panty underneath the gown? One thing’s for sure, he was wearing the garter in which the groom had to throw during their game of “catch”.
In the game, Sungmin actually caught Heechul’s bouquet even though he was simply sitting on his seat but their table was placed on the front. Not so far from where Heechul threw the bouquet, which landed on Sungmin’s lap. When Zhoumi threw the garter (which he took off earlier from Heechul’s leg), Siwon had joined the game and actually caught it. There is a saying whoever caught these stuff would probably be the next person who would have a wedding. Siwon and Sungmin got their picture taken together. People thought they would surely get married since they are a couple right now. Sungmin can’t help but wish that they were a real couple instead.
“You guys caught the bouquet and garter so…when’s the wedding?” Donghae asked teasingly.
“I think Siwon doesn’t have any plans on proposing to me.” Sungmin replied shyly, acting as if he was anticipating for Siwon’s proposal but of course, the truth was only known between him and Siwon. It’s all just an act.
“I thought those are engagement rings you two are wearing.” Ryeowook, their fellow ex-bandmate and the observant one, said.
“No. These are just couple rings. Sungmin and I are taking it slow.” Siwon said sweetly while wrapping at arm around Sungmin’s shoulders. “Let’s go for a dance?”
“Okay.” It was a slow dance so it’s mostly for couples but since they’re acting as a couple anyway, Sungmin had agreed to dance. Sungmin had his hands on Siwon’s shoulders while Siwon wrapped his arms around Sungmin’s waist as they moved slowly to the beat of the music.

“I can’t do that.” A blush was forming on Sungmin’s face. He currently had his head low with eyes looking at the floor or their shoes for that matter.

“It’s embarrassing and stop rubbing that on my face.” Sungmin lifted his head to glare at Siwon, only to realize that he fell on Siwon’s trap because he was now looking straight at Siwon’s eyes.
“See? That wasn’t so hard.” Siwon smirked as he leaned closer, brushing his lips against Sungmin’s. They could hear Ryeowook and Donghae squealing and gushing over their sweetness and loving act. Act…Sungmin was really starting to hate that word.
“You two are so sweet and subtle unlike Heechul who just goes straightly for public display of affection.” Zhoumi said as he and Heechul had ended up dancing beside Siwon and Sungmin. Heechul slapped Zhoumi’s shoulder playfully.
Sungmin simply blushed shyly. Later on, the four of them got into a friendly conversation but after a short while, Siwon and Sungmin informed the newlywed couple that they have to leave first. Heechul didn’t let them leave though until Sungmin promised that he will attend to Donghae’s reunion party next time and Siwon promised that Heechul will be the first one to know when he plans to propose to Sungmin.
Sungmin had clung unto Siwon’s arms lovingly while they left the restaurant. Later on at the parking lot, Sungmin released his hold on Siwon’s arm and started to distance himself. No more acting, back to reality. The drive towards Sungmin’s apartment was in silence. “Thanks for driving me home.” Sungmin said politely. He was a bit disappointed when Siwon didn’t say anything back and didn’t even look at him.
It was only when Sungmin left the car did Siwon allow himself to look at Sungmin, who walked towards the front door and entered the house safely. Then Siwon looked at Sungmin’s seat which didn’t seem to be empty. The bouquet that Sungmin caught earlier was lying on the seat with the expensive ring that Siwon had given to him earlier. Siwon doesn’t know why he suddenly had the urge to give the bouquet and ring to Sungmin. It was only the next morning that Sungmin found the bouquet and the ring lying on his doorstep as he was about to leave for work.
Things went back to normal though. Siwon didn’t stop from courting or flirting with Eeteuk. But one time, Kibum was having a bad mood as he caught Siwon flirting with Eeteuk. They ended up in a fight. Eeteuk held back Kibum while Sungmin went to stop Siwon. Kibum and Eeteuk went home afterwards while Sungmin and Siwon had to stay behind in the building. Sungmin ended up attending to Siwon’s wounds.
“Why, of all people, did you have to choose Eeteuk anyway? He had a boyfriend, who he loves very much. You have no chance with him. You should just stop it.” Sungmin said while putting some betadine on small open cuts and offering ice pack for the bruises.
“I like him.” Siwon watched at how Sungmin paused a bit after his replies before going back to tending his wounds.
“It’s not nice seeing you and Kibum fight. Not to mention that you two have high ranks.” There was a slight pause. Sungmin contemplated if he should say it but there’s nothing to lose anyway. It’s not like Siwon doesn’t know about his feelings. “I don’t like seeing you get rejected each time. I just want you to be happy. Eeteuk won’t be the person to make you happy or help you move on from Heechul.”
“So who do you suggest then? Yourself?”
“Just someone single and available and definitely not me. How would I be able to help you move on when it’s my fault that you two broke up? How could I make you happy when you hate me?” Sungmin finished tending Siwon’s wounds so he placed the materials back to its place. “I never had a chance with you anyway.”
Siwon hated Sungmin. He also hated that sad tone in Sungmin’s voice. He hated that broken hearted expression on Sungmin’s face. He hated himself for hurting Sungmin. What’s the point of the hurting Sungmin when he had already been hurt from the start with Siwon’s rejection? The only thing that Sungmin did was love Siwon but all Siwon did was blame on Sungmin with all the bad things that happened to him. Siwon decided that it’s about time to stop all these hurt and hate because Sungmin doesn’t deserve any of it.
“Do you still have the ring I gave you?”
Yeah…why?” Sungmin was confuse as to why Siwon suddenly brought up that topic.
“You know where I used to live back in high school with my parents, right?”

“Tomorrow at 10am. Be there and wear the ring.” With that, Siwon left.
It just happened that it was Saturday. Sungmin was simply wearing his casual clothes and the ring. He wondered why Siwon suddenly wanted him to visit at Siwon’s parent’s house. Siwon has his own house now. And why did he have to wear the ring? The only theory Sungmin could come up with is that they probably have to act as a couple again. He just have to wonder why and what for?
Sungmin was about to knock on the door but the argument he heard from inside the house made him hesitate. Perhaps it’s not the right time to visit? When the argument toned down, Sungmin got enough courage to knock on the door. Siwon had opened it and immediately dived in for a kiss. Sungmin was surprised but he close his eyes and kissed back. A gasp was heard before Siwon parted from their kiss.
“Mom, dad. Please stop trying to hook me up with some girls. I’m already in love with Sungmin.“ Siwon said as he raised his and Sungmin’s clasp hands to show off their rings.
Sungmin was absolutely nervous. It was okay for him to act as Siwon’s fake boyfriend if it’s just in front of their friends or Heechul for that matter but to actually act as a couple in front of Siwon’s family was just really scary. Siwon’s dad looked absolutely furious. Siwon’s grandparents had shock expressions and looked like they were about to have a heart attack any minute now. Siwon’s mother and sister had disappointed look on their faces.
“Another guy again?!?! This is outrageous!!! Scandalous!!!” Siwon’s father, Mr. Choi’s voice boomed in the entire room which only made Sungmin wish he didn’t listen to Siwon and come into this house.
“Siwon…if you’re going to be with a guy, how could you give us grandchildren?” Siwon’s grandmother asked with a disappointed tone.
“Siwon, haven’t you learned your lesson?!?! Being with Heechul only bought more problems and bad luck for you!!! It’s okay if you wanna fuck a guy very now and then but in the end, it should be a girl who you have to have a relationship with or marry!!!” Siwon’s sister said.
Sungmin could feel Siwon getting more tense beside him. Siwon’s grip on Sungmin’s hand was also getting tighter. Sungmin’s other hand placed itself on top of Siwon’s hand and squeezed it comfortingly. Siwon looked at their hands before looking straight to Sungmin’s eyes. Sungmin simply gave him a reassuring smile before facing back to Siwon’s family.
“I’m sorry that we wouldn’t be able to give you grandchildren that is truly related by blood. I’m sorry that I’m not your ideal woman for Siwon. I’m sorry for being selfish to pursue my love for Siwon. But I really love Siwon. I won’t leave him like what Heechul did. If ever Siwon and I might break up in the future, it would be Siwon’s decision because if it were up to me, I would like for us to be together forever. I know that all of you don’t approve with this relationship. We’re not asking for your blessings or support for this relationship. We just hope that you’ll find it in your hearts to accept this relationship soon with time.”
There was complete silence afterwards. Siwon can’t help but stare at Sungmin. He knew what Sungmin said wasn’t just acting. He knew that within those words were Sungmin’s heartfelt feelings. How could he continue to hate Sungmin, who loved him so genuinely like this? How could he have been so blind to Sungmin’s love? Why did he first love Heechul instead of Sungmin? Why didn’t he just give Sungmin a chance in the beginning to save them from all this hurt?
Although Sungmin mostly looked calm and perhaps a bit worried on the outside, he was a complete nerve-wrecked inside as he waited for whatever Siwon’s family members have to say. Heart beating fast, sweat forming on his forehead and his hands started to feel cold.
“At least his personality is much better than Heechul.” Siwon’s father grumbled as he turned and started to walk away.
Sungmin was finally able to feel relief. It wasn’t much of an acceptance. It probably wasn’t even acceptance at all but at least, Siwon’s father had acknowledged him and that there wouldn’t be any more huge fights or argument that might happen.
“Sungmin, please stay and have lunch with us. We would like to get to know you better.” Siwon’s mother said.
Sungmin felt happy as he could see that Siwon’s mother was trying to accept him as Siwon’s boyfriend. “Of course. If you want, I can help you cook. I also know how to cook some dishes.”
That earned a genuine smile on Mrs. Choi’s face. “Really? Then I would like to see some of that cooking skills and taste the food you’ll make.” Siwon’s mother made her way to the kitchen.
“I bet he’s just talking big. He probably can’t even cook rice.”
“Sohee, shut up.” Siwon glared at his sister.
“It’s okay, Siwon.” Sungmin rubbed Siwon’s arm in comfort before following Siwon’s mother to the kitchen.
During lunch, Sungmin couldn’t eat because he was too nervous as what Siwon’s family members might comment about the food. Siwon could see Sungmin’s nervousness he placed a comforting hand on Sungmin’s hand under the table. Sungmin was surprised at this but nevertheless, it was a pleasant one.
“I guess he could cook after all.” Sohee said after having a taste at all of Sungmin’s dishes.
“I don’t really care who Siwon wants to be with as long as the person is a great cook. After all, I’m getting old and my taste buds are getting less sensitive.” Siwon’s grandfather said as he looked at Sungmin with a smile. “You’re a great cook and you’re cute enough to be a girl anyway.”
“Thank you.” Sungmin replied a bit awkwardly but still sincerely. A couple of questions were thrown at Sungmin every now and then but Sungmin only answered each time in a polite manner.
By the time Sungmin and Siwon would leave, Sungmin got the approval of Siwon’s grandparents.
Siwon’s grandmother had said “Even if Siwon would really get married with a woman, I’ll probably die due to old age before I could really see my grandchildren.”
“Grandma, that’s not a nice thing so say.” Siwon said with a frown.
“Sungmin, I know that it’s not an act.”
“Huh?” Sungmin became alarmed. He thought that Siwon’s grandmother had known the truth about him and Siwon.
But it turned out… “I know that you’re really a kind person and that the personality you showed to us today is not just an act. I don’t really mind that Siwon ended up with you because you’re truly a good person.” Siwon’s grandmother said with a smile.

Siwon’s mother had been honestly with them by saying “I’m really disappointed but I love Siwon and because Siwon loves you, I want to love you as my own son as well but it will take time so I want you both to visit as much as you can, okay?”
It was only when Siwon’s house was out of sight did Sungmin give out a couple of breaths of relief. “Wow! I can’t believe all that actually happened. What the heck were you thinking just suddenly inviting me to your old house and introducing me as your boyfriend?!?!” Sungmin scolded. “I thought I was about to die from all that tension and nervousness!!!”
Siwon chuckled. “I’m sorry.”
“You don’t look sorry.” Sungmin grumbled. “So what was that all about?”
“I’m just tired of them trying to hook me up with some girl and marry her.”
“Maybe you might really fall in love with a girl someday and marry her and make your family happy.” Sungmin said, trying to hide the bitterness in his voice.
“But if it were up to you, you would like for us to be together forever...hmm?” Siwon repeated the words that Sungmin said earlier. “You really confessed your feelings to my family, ya know.”
Sungmin started to blush in embarrassment. “It was just an act.”

“It’s okay.” Sungmin easily forgave Siwon. He was glad that they finally talked and understand each other after all those misunderstandings and hurt in the past. “I hope we can be good friends now.”
“Ah, that’s another thing we need to talk about.”
“Why? Can’t we be friends?”
“I was completely serious when I introduced you as my boyfriend towards my family earlier.”
Sungmin’s brain froze for a bit. “What did you mean by serious?”
“I want you to be my boyfriend. I want this relationship to become real.”
Isn’t this what Sungmin always wanted? Why couldn’t he find it in his heart to say ‘yes’? … because it’s not just a relationship he wanted. “Siwon, do you love me?”

“Then let’s just remain friends for now.” Sungmin replied. After all, there‘s no point in having a relationship if they don‘t love each other. “You can take your time in trying to fall in love with me because I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be here, loving you.”
It surprised Eeteuk that Sungmin and Siwon were suddenly friendly towards each other at work. Kibum had still been possessive towards Eeteuk but Siwon mostly stayed at Sungmin’s side nowadays and no more flirting towards Eeteuk.
“Hmm… I think there’s something between the two of you that I don’t know. Like how did you two suddenly become friends when you’ve been ignoring each other all this time?” Eeteuk asked Sungmin, who started story-telling how he and Siwon actually met way back during high school and how they became the way they are now. “Woah! More complicated than I thought.” Eeteuk said in shock.
“Yeah, I just hope Siwon will sort out his feelings soon. I want to be able to kiss him again.”
“Kiss who?”
Sungmin turned to find out that Siwon was actually just standing behind him. He blushed in embarrassment and tried to cover up what he said. “Nobody. I was just reciting the lyrics of a song that Eeteuk was asking for.” Sungmin said as he elbowed Eeteuk’s tummy.

“Eeteuk, I know that Kibum is going to be overworking today so you’ll probably want Sungmin’s company for dinner but can you just allow me to kidnap Sungmin today?” Siwon asked sweetly.
“Yeah, yeah. You even have my permission to rape him.” Eeteuk replied jokingly.
“EETEUK!!!” Sungmin scolded with his cheeks in full blush.
“Hahaha! Thanks.” Siwon laughed before dragging Sungmin towards the parking lot. “So who did you want to kiss again?” Siwon asked teasingly as they walked their way towards the parking lot.

“I still can’t bring myself to say those words but please don’t misunderstand. We have enough misunderstandings in the past to last a lifetime.”
“So what do you mean then?”
“Just that saying those words seems so overrated and corny. I’ve said those words to different people that I’ve dated in the past so meaninglessly. I just don’t want to say those words anymore but since this is how I truly feel for you, I want it to be meaningful when I say it. I’ll only tell you once but not today.”
Sungmin sighed. “You really like to make things complicated but I’m glad you admitted your feelings for me at least.”
“Does that mean we could start dating now and become and official couple and make this relationship real?”
“Yes.” Sungmin and Siwon had arrived in front of the car but instead of going inside the car, Sungmin found himself lying on the front hood with Siwon on top of him, kissing him as if there’s no tomorrow. “Siwon, people might see us.”

Maybe he’s just overwhelmed now that he discovered his feelings for Sungmin and wanted to express it as much as he could or maybe it’s because of how Sungmin would moan sexily and respond heatedly to his kisses.

“It’s not nice seeing you and Kibum fight. Not to mention that you two have high ranks.” There was a slight pause. Sungmin contemplated if he should say it but there’s nothing to lose anyway. It’s not like Siwon doesn’t know about his feelings. “I don’t like seeing you get rejected each time. I just want you to be happy. Eeteuk won’t be the person to make you happy or help you move on from Heechul.”
“So who do you suggest then? Yourself?”
“Just someone single and available and definitely not me. How would I be able to help you move on when it’s my fault that you two broke up? How could I make you happy when you hate me?” Sungmin finished tending Siwon’s wounds so he placed the materials back to its place. “I never had a chance with you anyway.”
Siwon hated Sungmin. He also hated that sad tone in Sungmin’s voice. He hated that broken hearted expression on Sungmin’s face. He hated himself for hurting Sungmin. What’s the point of the hurting Sungmin when he had already been hurt from the start with Siwon’s rejection? The only thing that Sungmin did was love Siwon but all Siwon did was blame on Sungmin with all the bad things that happened to him. Siwon decided that it’s about time to stop all these hurt and hate because Sungmin doesn’t deserve any of it.
“Do you still have the ring I gave you?”
Yeah…why?” Sungmin was confuse as to why Siwon suddenly brought up that topic.
“You know where I used to live back in high school with my parents, right?”
“…yeah…”
“Tomorrow at 10am. Be there and wear the ring.” With that, Siwon left.
It just happened that it was Saturday. Sungmin was simply wearing his casual clothes and the ring. He wondered why Siwon suddenly wanted him to visit at Siwon’s parent’s house. Siwon has his own house now. And why did he have to wear the ring? The only theory Sungmin could come up with is that they probably have to act as a couple again. He just have to wonder why and what for?
Sungmin was about to knock on the door but the argument he heard from inside the house made him hesitate. Perhaps it’s not the right time to visit? When the argument toned down, Sungmin got enough courage to knock on the door. Siwon had opened it and immediately dived in for a kiss. Sungmin was surprised but he close his eyes and kissed back. A gasp was heard before Siwon parted from their kiss.
“Mom, dad. Please stop trying to hook me up with some girls. I’m already in love with Sungmin.“ Siwon said as he raised his and Sungmin’s clasp hands to show off their rings.
Sungmin was absolutely nervous. It was okay for him to act as Siwon’s fake boyfriend if it’s just in front of their friends or Heechul for that matter but to actually act as a couple in front of Siwon’s family was just really scary. Siwon’s dad looked absolutely furious. Siwon’s grandparents had shock expressions and looked like they were about to have a heart attack any minute now. Siwon’s mother and sister had disappointed look on their faces.
“Another guy again?!?! This is outrageous!!! Scandalous!!!” Siwon’s father, Mr. Choi’s voice boomed in the entire room which only made Sungmin wish he didn’t listen to Siwon and come into this house.
“Siwon…if you’re going to be with a guy, how could you give us grandchildren?” Siwon’s grandmother asked with a disappointed tone.
“Siwon, haven’t you learned your lesson?!?! Being with Heechul only bought more problems and bad luck for you!!! It’s okay if you wanna fuck a guy very now and then but in the end, it should be a girl who you have to have a relationship with or marry!!!” Siwon’s sister said.
Sungmin could feel Siwon getting more tense beside him. Siwon’s grip on Sungmin’s hand was also getting tighter. Sungmin’s other hand placed itself on top of Siwon’s hand and squeezed it comfortingly. Siwon looked at their hands before looking straight to Sungmin’s eyes. Sungmin simply gave him a reassuring smile before facing back to Siwon’s family.
“I’m sorry that we wouldn’t be able to give you grandchildren that is truly related by blood. I’m sorry that I’m not your ideal woman for Siwon. I’m sorry for being selfish to pursue my love for Siwon. But I really love Siwon. I won’t leave him like what Heechul did. If ever Siwon and I might break up in the future, it would be Siwon’s decision because if it were up to me, I would like for us to be together forever. I know that all of you don’t approve with this relationship. We’re not asking for your blessings or support for this relationship. We just hope that you’ll find it in your hearts to accept this relationship soon with time.”
There was complete silence afterwards. Siwon can’t help but stare at Sungmin. He knew what Sungmin said wasn’t just acting. He knew that within those words were Sungmin’s heartfelt feelings. How could he continue to hate Sungmin, who loved him so genuinely like this? How could he have been so blind to Sungmin’s love? Why did he first love Heechul instead of Sungmin? Why didn’t he just give Sungmin a chance in the beginning to save them from all this hurt?
Although Sungmin mostly looked calm and perhaps a bit worried on the outside, he was a complete nerve-wrecked inside as he waited for whatever Siwon’s family members have to say. Heart beating fast, sweat forming on his forehead and his hands started to feel cold.
“At least his personality is much better than Heechul.” Siwon’s father grumbled as he turned and started to walk away.
Sungmin was finally able to feel relief. It wasn’t much of an acceptance. It probably wasn’t even acceptance at all but at least, Siwon’s father had acknowledged him and that there wouldn’t be any more huge fights or argument that might happen.
“Sungmin, please stay and have lunch with us. We would like to get to know you better.” Siwon’s mother said.
Sungmin felt happy as he could see that Siwon’s mother was trying to accept him as Siwon’s boyfriend. “Of course. If you want, I can help you cook. I also know how to cook some dishes.”
That earned a genuine smile on Mrs. Choi’s face. “Really? Then I would like to see some of that cooking skills and taste the food you’ll make.” Siwon’s mother made her way to the kitchen.
“I bet he’s just talking big. He probably can’t even cook rice.”
“Sohee, shut up.” Siwon glared at his sister.
“It’s okay, Siwon.” Sungmin rubbed Siwon’s arm in comfort before following Siwon’s mother to the kitchen.
During lunch, Sungmin couldn’t eat because he was too nervous as what Siwon’s family members might comment about the food. Siwon could see Sungmin’s nervousness he placed a comforting hand on Sungmin’s hand under the table. Sungmin was surprised at this but nevertheless, it was a pleasant one.
“I guess he could cook after all.” Sohee said after having a taste at all of Sungmin’s dishes.
“I don’t really care who Siwon wants to be with as long as the person is a great cook. After all, I’m getting old and my taste buds are getting less sensitive.” Siwon’s grandfather said as he looked at Sungmin with a smile. “You’re a great cook and you’re cute enough to be a girl anyway.”
“Thank you.” Sungmin replied a bit awkwardly but still sincerely. A couple of questions were thrown at Sungmin every now and then but Sungmin only answered each time in a polite manner.
By the time Sungmin and Siwon would leave, Sungmin got the approval of Siwon’s grandparents.
Siwon’s grandmother had said “Even if Siwon would really get married with a woman, I’ll probably die due to old age before I could really see my grandchildren.”
“Grandma, that’s not a nice thing so say.” Siwon said with a frown.
“Sungmin, I know that it’s not an act.”
“Huh?” Sungmin became alarmed. He thought that Siwon’s grandmother had known the truth about him and Siwon.
But it turned out… “I know that you’re really a kind person and that the personality you showed to us today is not just an act. I don’t really mind that Siwon ended up with you because you’re truly a good person.” Siwon’s grandmother said with a smile.
Sungmin let out a breath of relief. Siwon’s father and sister didn’t bother to see them leave. Siwon’s mother had came in and told them that they should visit again soon. Siwon’s mother had been honestly with them by saying “I’m really disappointed but I love Siwon and because Siwon loves you, I want to love you as my own son as well but it will take time so I want you both to visit as much as you can, okay?”
It was only when Siwon’s house was out of sight did Sungmin give out a couple of breaths of relief. “Wow! I can’t believe all that actually happened. What the heck were you thinking just suddenly inviting me to your old house and introducing me as your boyfriend?!?!” Sungmin scolded. “I thought I was about to die from all that tension and nervousness!!!”
Siwon chuckled. “I’m sorry.”
“You don’t look sorry.” Sungmin grumbled. “So what was that all about?”
“I’m just tired of them trying to hook me up with some girl and marry her.”
“Maybe you might really fall in love with a girl someday and marry her and make your family happy.” Sungmin said, trying to hide the bitterness in his voice.
“But if it were up to you, you would like for us to be together forever...hmm?” Siwon repeated the words that Sungmin said earlier. “You really confessed your feelings to my family, ya know.”
Sungmin started to blush in embarrassment. “It was just an act.”
“I know that those were your real feelings, Sungmin. You have no idea who deeply touched I was and how happy I was to hear it.” Siwon had parked the car to the side of the road. He probably couldn’t drive well with all the seriousness and sincerity he was about to tell Sungmin. “I’ve been thinking a lot. The more I think about it, the more I feel like I’m the bad guy here.”
“What do you mean?”
Siwon shared all his thoughts to Sungmin. Those unanswered questions that he had been thinking of earlier such as what if he never rejected Sungmin in the first place? Those things that he had done to purposely and intentionally hurt Sungmin such as courting and flirting with Eeteuk. Those blames and faults that he all passed to Sungmin when he was also at fault too. Those selfish thoughts about his own feelings and never about Sungmin’s feelings. “I’m sorry for everything.” He apologized and felt like a huge burden was lifted off his chest.
“It’s okay.” Sungmin easily forgave Siwon. He was glad that they finally talked and understand each other after all those misunderstandings and hurt in the past. “I hope we can be good friends now.”
“Ah, that’s another thing we need to talk about.”
“Why? Can’t we be friends?”
“I was completely serious when I introduced you as my boyfriend towards my family earlier.”
Sungmin’s brain froze for a bit. “What did you mean by serious?”
“I want you to be my boyfriend. I want this relationship to become real.”
Isn’t this what Sungmin always wanted? Why couldn’t he find it in his heart to say ‘yes’? … because it’s not just a relationship he wanted. “Siwon, do you love me?”
“I can’t really say it.” Siwon said honestly.
“Then let’s just remain friends for now.” Sungmin replied. After all, there‘s no point in having a relationship if they don‘t love each other. “You can take your time in trying to fall in love with me because I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always be here, loving you.”
It surprised Eeteuk that Sungmin and Siwon were suddenly friendly towards each other at work. Kibum had still been possessive towards Eeteuk but Siwon mostly stayed at Sungmin’s side nowadays and no more flirting towards Eeteuk.
“Hmm… I think there’s something between the two of you that I don’t know. Like how did you two suddenly become friends when you’ve been ignoring each other all this time?” Eeteuk asked Sungmin, who started story-telling how he and Siwon actually met way back during high school and how they became the way they are now. “Woah! More complicated than I thought.” Eeteuk said in shock.
“Yeah, I just hope Siwon will sort out his feelings soon. I want to be able to kiss him again.”
“Kiss who?”
Sungmin turned to find out that Siwon was actually just standing behind him. He blushed in embarrassment and tried to cover up what he said. “Nobody. I was just reciting the lyrics of a song that Eeteuk was asking for.” Sungmin said as he elbowed Eeteuk’s tummy.
Eeteuk winced a bit. “Yeah, I was asking for the lyrics of the song and Sungmin was kind enough to help me.” He rolled his eyes, which Sungmin didn’t notice but Siwon clearly noticed and chuckled.
“Eeteuk, I know that Kibum is going to be overworking today so you’ll probably want Sungmin’s company for dinner but can you just allow me to kidnap Sungmin today?” Siwon asked sweetly.
“Yeah, yeah. You even have my permission to rape him.” Eeteuk replied jokingly.
“EETEUK!!!” Sungmin scolded with his cheeks in full blush.
“Hahaha! Thanks.” Siwon laughed before dragging Sungmin towards the parking lot. “So who did you want to kiss again?” Siwon asked teasingly as they walked their way towards the parking lot.
“Stop it, Siwon.” The blush returning on Sungmin’s cheeks.
“Did I just hear my name? Is that the person who you want to kiss?”
“Yah!!!”
“Yah? Ah… I think you meant yes.”
“No!!!”
“So you don’t want a kiss then?”
“Stop it!!!” Sungmin covered his ears so he wouldn’t be to hear Siwon’s teasing anymore. Sungmin uncovered his ears when he saw Siwon had calmed down from laughing. “If you tease me one more time, I’m going---” Siwon had pressed his lips firmly against Sungmin’s.
“Does that mean you’ve sorted out your feelings for me?” Sungmin asked breathlessly after the kiss.
“I still can’t bring myself to say those words but please don’t misunderstand. We have enough misunderstandings in the past to last a lifetime.”
“So what do you mean then?”
“Just that saying those words seems so overrated and corny. I’ve said those words to different people that I’ve dated in the past so meaninglessly. I just don’t want to say those words anymore but since this is how I truly feel for you, I want it to be meaningful when I say it. I’ll only tell you once but not today.”
Sungmin sighed. “You really like to make things complicated but I’m glad you admitted your feelings for me at least.”
“Does that mean we could start dating now and become and official couple and make this relationship real?”
“Yes.” Sungmin and Siwon had arrived in front of the car but instead of going inside the car, Sungmin found himself lying on the front hood with Siwon on top of him, kissing him as if there’s no tomorrow. “Siwon, people might see us.”
“That’s good. They should all know that we’re in a relationship.” Siwon doesn’t understand why he couldn’t bring himself to stop kissing Sungmin. Maybe he’s just overwhelmed now that he discovered his feelings for Sungmin and wanted to express it as much as he could or maybe it’s because of how Sungmin would moan sexily and respond heatedly to his kisses.
Sungmin didn’t mind that Siwon never said those words to him because Siwon had always been expressive on his feelings anyway but still, the day came when Siwon said those words. It was during their wedding day and no, Sungmin wasn’t cross dressing as a bride like Heechul.
