Title: Whom To Fall In Love…Murderer or Detective?
Chapter 1
Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5...last chapter
“Donghae, I’m sure that I’ve clearly stated that I wanted the students to submit a written conversation with the patient. Not a story that you’ve written!!!” The teacher was angry and he slammed the report that Donghae submitted on the table.
“It may not exactly be a conversation but it’s a story that the patient told me!!!” Donghae argued.
“Do you expect me to believe that the patient instantly trusted you on your first meeting and told you his weird love triangle that only seem to happen In dramas and movies?!?!?!” The teacher’s face was becoming red with anger. “I want you to submit a repentance letter by tomorrow. Now, you can leave and take that stupid story report with you.”
Donghae snatched his report from the table. He glared at the teacher before stomping his way out and making sure he slammed the door shut. “Damnit!!! Stupid teacher!!! Why did he become a teacher anyway!?! He’s so stupid!!” Donghae continued cursing the teacher while walking on the hallway. He bumped onto a person and the papers of his report went flying everywhere.
The person apologized and helped Donghae pick up the papers. He was able to read some sentences from the story before handing the papers back to Donghae. “Are you doing a project that had something to do with a mentally-ill person?”
“Yeah and that stupid teacher doesn’t believe me that everything I wrote here is true. If I knew this would happen, I should have brought a voice recorder so that I could shove it on the teacher’s face.” Donghae was still pretty much in a bad mood.
“I’ve noticed that the last page is unfinished.” The person said.
“My patient’s head would hurt every time he tries to recall the ending but I have a feeling that Sungmin probably chose to be with Kyuhyun in the end and that would be the reason why Kibum became crazy and took up Sungmin’s personality for himself. Ah, sorry. You probably don’t understand a thing I’m talking about. It’s just that I’m really frustrated and in a bad mood right now so I tend to talk a lot to release the negative energy. I have to go to my next class now.” Donghae bowed politely to the stranger before walking away.
The next day, Donghae went to the classroom that he knew his teacher would be staying at. He was going to give the repentance letter. The moment he entered the classroom. He could only stay frozen in shock as he saw his teacher’s body lying on top of the table with his blood dripping on the table’s edges. He saw how some chairs had dead bodies of students and some were also on the floor. He noticed how one female student had her eyes wide open in fear. The eyeliner smeared on her cheeks. Donghae thought that she must have cried before dying in fear. There were only two person currently alive in the classroom. One would be Donghae the other…was the person he bumped unto yesterday.
The person stared at him with an intense look. Donghae knew right away that he was the murderer. He briefly wondered if this was how Sungmin felt when he met the murderer. “Why?” Donghae managed to ask with his voice full of fear. His heart beating fast. His knees and hands were shaking slightly. The repentance letter fell to the ground and got soaked with blood.
“Because he didn’t believe on the report you gave to him.” The murderer started to approach Donghae, who was also slowly backing away. “I heard him talk about it. He was making fun about it. I hated it. I hated him so I killed him.”
“What about the students?”
“I killed them because they witnessed me.”
“What about…” Donghae’s back met the wall. The door was just a few steps away but he knew that the murderer could just easily stop him before he could even reach the door so he took a deep breath. His voice shaking…”….me?”
“If you would be like Sungmin, who kept his mouth shut and became my lover then there would be no need for me to kill you.”
Cold ran through Donghae’s veins as he realized who exactly this person was. He was the exact same murderer as in the story. “Kyuhyun.”
Kyuhyun had a teasing smirk on his lips. “You got that right.” His bloody hand caressed Donghae’s cheek before pulling him into a kiss. Donghae was both in shock and in fear so he didn’t give any response which prompted Kyuhyun to bit on Donghae’s tongue causing a reaction from Donghae who winced at the pain and started to struggle. “You seem to be really a feisty one.” Kyuhyun commented as he licked the blood that trickled down at the side of Donghae’s lips.
“Sungmin kept his mouth shut and became your lover but where is he now?!?! Isn’t he dead?!?! didn’t you kill him?!?!”
Kyuhyun’s laughter chilled Donghae to the bones. “Sungmin never existed in real life.”
“What?!?!”
“When Kibum told you that story, he narrated to you with Sungmin’s point of view but haven’t you thought how exactly Kibum would have known everything about Sungmin’s thoughts and feelings? There’s no way another person except the person himself could have told the story accurately. That’s why the teacher didn’t believe the report you handed in but I know the entire truth and I respect the report you made. However as the saying goes ‘there are two faces of truth’.”
Kyuhyun began his side of the story. The real victim in the story had been Kibum. It was Kibum who lived in the mansion. It was Kibum’s family and servants that were killed. It was Kibum who had witnessed Kyuhyun murdering his father. It was Kibum that Kyuhyun had kissed back then. It was Kibum, who was Kyuhyun’s brother.
In the past, there were already some incidents that Kibum showed a split personality. There were times that he would suddenly get perfect in all of his subjects in a day or two. There were times that he would be a bully to nerds. There were times that he suddenly becomes talented with the musical instruments. All those times could be seen as a normal kid growing up but then during those times, Kibum wouldn’t have any memory and wouldn’t know what to do afterwards.
There was a time that Kibum’s best friend died. Because of that, he had taken his best friend’s personality as another side of him. It only lasted for a few months because people made him aware of this fact and he immediately went to see a psychiatrist who helped him. However, the night of the murder incident completely traumatize Kibum. Then a personality named Sungmin was created.
“The interaction between Kibum and Sungmin was actually just Kibum trying to get to know more about his other personality but he was just not aware that Sungmin was a part of him. He believed that I accidentally killed Sungmin, who was trying to protect him. He believe that Sungmin had died. But the person who narrated to you the story was actually Sungmin himself. If you visit Kibum again, I can assure you that he won’t recognize you because it was Sungmin’s personality that you met and not Kibum.”
Donghae head was starting to hurt. It was really too much for him to take. Then Kyuhyun was starting to kiss him again, preventing him from analyzing the information. “Donghae, will you be mine as Kibum and Sungmin had been mine once?”
Donghae knew that he fell into a trap because not only does Kyuhyun want him but he also wants Kyuhyun for himself. The mix of fear and excitement was a feeling that Donghae loved. Donghae can’t help but think that he was starting to become like Sungmin, who seem to be attracted to the murderer. Now, he could only hope that he won’t fall too deeply to the point that he would be driven insane and end up in the mental hospital. But all these worrisome thoughts left Donghae as Kyuhyun ravished him in the classroom, on the bloodstained floor with dead bodies beside them.
