Reunited At The Sideline
Chapter 6
“What are you doing here?” Kisho asked as he saw
that Chrono is sitting on his couch on the living room. It is already late at night; almost 10.
“I just wanted to make sure that you’ve arrived safely from your date.” Chrono stood up and walked towards Kisho. “It looks like you had a good time.” Chrono’s thumb rubbed gently against Kisho’s swollen lips. “So care to share how your dates went?” He removed his thumb and went back to sit on the couch again.
Kisho was touching his lips. For some reason, he liked the simple gesture. Then he went to sit beside Chrono on the couch and started to talk about his dates. “Faolan is trying to prove to me that he changed and that he really loves me now. We had lunch at some fast food restaurant and played basketball. All throughout he didn’t make any chancing moves, didn’t try to touch me and didn’t kiss me either. He said he wanted to know me better and make sure that I’m comfortable with him before he starts making some moves.”
“Hadriel is really his opposite. We were in an expensive restaurant and so formal. He wanted to know if I’m still the same Kisho or how much I’ve changed. After that, he asked for a dance. It was a sweet and slow dance and well, I guess I could say that he was well-behaved too since his hands didn’t roam around on my body. Then he offered to drive me back here and couldn’t help but give me a goodnight kiss. I was taken in by surprise and well, enjoyed it too.” He was blushing. He wasn’t too sure why and if he should be telling Chrono about this stuff considering that those two were Chrono’s rivals.
“So I take it that you’ll really have a hard time on choosing between the two of them.”
“You mean between the three of you.”
“Nah, just the two of them.”
“Chrono…” Kisho sucked his breath. “Are you giving up on me?” Disappointment and anger sipped through him. “I really don’t understand you. Why do you bother falling in love and not doing anything about your feelings and then simply giving up?!?! Is your love for me that shallow?!?!“ But whatever anger he felt was drained away when he felt Chrono’s hand stroking his cheek affectionately. Now, he just feels disappointment and confusion. “And why the heck are you smiling?”
Chrono chuckled. “Because I’m glad that I’m able to evoke such feelings from you and though it’s not obvious, I am doing something about my feelings.” He stopped stroking Kisho’s cheek and held it gently. “Don’t worry, I’ll win you soon and make you forget about them. Goodnight.” He kissed Kisho’s cheek before leaving the house with much enthusiasm.
“What the heck is he planning?!?!” Kisho groaned and plopped down the couch. “He’s so confusing. I can’t understand him. I don’t seem to know him anymore.” Then he remembered Chrono’s words about not being the usual Chrono/ taking up a new personality called Hirono until this whole rivalry ends.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Friday morning. It’s back to usual again at the Spring Bloom Flower Shop. Kisho received a call from Hadriel. “This time he wants to go clubbing tonight. You and Faolan are included.”
And so the night came. (Time flies really fast in this story). They went really wild that night. Kisho had a lot of dance partners on the dance floor. Faolan and Hadriel were just two of the dozen people Kisho danced with. Then when Kisho finally took a rest, Hadriel offered him a tequila while Faolan gave him a lap dance. Hadriel, who didn’t want to be defeated, went up on stage for a pole dance and soon, Hadriel and Faolan were competing each other by dancing wildly on stage. The models easily got a lot of people cheering for them.
Kisho was distracted from the show when he felt Chrono sitting beside him. “Where have you been? You’re acting like a ghost again; disappearing and appearing. You should be up there with those two.”
“I’ll show you that I don’t need to be on stage to make an impression on you.” Chrono smirked. He got up and asked a girl to dance with. He’s been observing people since he got here to see who would be suitable for his plan. The girl he asked to dance with, he observed, is a great dancer. Flexible, graceful and sexy. He’ll probably get turned on if he weren’t gay.
Kisho’s eyes followed Chrono’s form to the dance floor with the girl. Both were good dancers and looked like they were having fun. Then bit by bit, they started to move closer, grinding their hips together and hands roaming all over each other’s bodies. All this time Chrono’s eyes never left Kisho’s. A lustful and sexy stare.
Kisho let out a groan as he found himself quite turn on with Chrono’s stare. He’s starting to feel jealous and livid towards the girl. It should be him dancing with Chrono right now. It should be him touching Chrono while Chrono touching his body. Any minute now Kisho would have dragged Chrono away from the girl but as it turns out that he didn’t have to since Chrono willingly stopped dancing and went back to sitting beside Kisho.
“Why didn’t you ask me for a dance? It’s me who you’re trying to impress so why did you have to find a girl to dance with?” There was a jealous tone on Kisho’s voice.
“So that you could get a good view of me.”
“I could have get a better view with you up close and touching your body if I were you dance partner.”
“Jealous, are we?”
Kisho was about to reply when Hadriel and Faolan showed up. Both of them were asking for a dance. Both of them were also glaring at Chrono and when Chrono just smirked back at them, it was just then they realized that Chrono was also a rival. //Too bad. It’s too late for you two to notice that now. Kisho has been falling for my plans for quite some time already. // “Why don’t you just dance with the both of them at the same time?” He suggested while taking a sip on his vodka.
Kisho was about to reply again when Faolan interrupted him. “Then we’ll have him.” He said, pulling Kisho roughly on the arm. Kisho winced and let himself be dragged on the dance floor. He found himself being sandwich between Faolan and Hadriel but whatever hard-on he felt earlier faded when he saw the girl approaching Chrono and sitting comfortable on Chrono’s lap. It was the same girl that Chrono was dancing earlier. The girl and Chrono were talking. The girl making circle patterns on Chrono’s chest while Chrono’s hand was on the girl’s knee. However, it was dangerously moving upward. Chrono’s hand was clutched away before it could reach under the girl’s skirt. Chrono looked up and smirked as he saw the it was Kisho who stopped him.
“I think it’s time for me to leave.” Chrono said as he yanked his hand free from Kisho and moved the girl away from him. He gently kissed the girl on the cheek before the girl went to look for some other dance partner.
“Did you really have to kiss her?” Kisho snapped.
“It’s just a simple, innocent kiss on the cheek. No need to get all riled up over that.” Chrono is loving Kisho’s reactions for the entire night.
“And what were you doing with your hands on her legs? Also, I’m not allowing you to leave until you get to dance with me.” Kisho had a determined mixed with anger look on his face.
“Ah, Kisho. There you are.” Faolan said as he arrived from the dance floor with Hadriel.
“You suddenly took off somewhere. We had a hard time looking for you. Are you okay?” Hadriel asked in a concern manner.
“No, I’m not!” Kisho snapped which caused Faolan and Hadriel to back off a bit.
“I think that’s all for tonight.” Chrono said as he left some money on the table to pay for their drinks earlier before stalking off towards the exit and taking Kisho with him. He drove Kisho home and when they arrived, Kisho refused to go out of the car. “You’re still angry that I didn’t dance with you?”
“I’m no longer happy with you so let’s stop hanging out. You’re so different and I don’t really understand you anymore. I refuse to hang out on Sunday so basically when I step out of this car, it’s over between us.” Kisho stated as he glared on the empty road ahead. “If you have any last words, you better say it now.”
“I love you.”
Kisho turned his head and looked at Chrono disbelievingly. Sure, he knew that Chrono had feelings for him but Chrono didn’t really admit it out loud. He merely confirmed it when Chrono joined the three rivals. “Well, that’s too bad. Maybe if you’ve been more romantic or involved in the group dates, you would have won by now.”
“I didn’t want to be like them. You weren’t entirely happy with them either and I’m sorry for not making you happy these past few days. It was part of the plan.” Chrono is slowly beginning to feel the tiredness of his body. “By not acting as my usual self, I’ve got your attention on me. By dancing and flirting with that girl, I got you jealous. By Sunday, I would have hang out with you by my usual self and make you happy. Then I could have won but that’s unlikely to happen now.” He rested his forehead on the driving wheel. “You reacted the way I wanted except now.”
Kisho almost could not believe what he is hearing. All this time he thought that Chrono is not doing anything to win him over but all these time Chrono has been stressed out and acting as if he was filming in a movie. “You sure have a weird and different approach than the others.” He finally found his voice.
Chrono lifted his head and looked at Kisho. “I wanted to be like Skyler. Different. That’s why Castor fell for him. It’s because he’s different from the others. Anyway, I’m so tired already. Why don’t you just end it?”
“You win.”
“What!?!?!?!” Chrono wondered if he heard it right.
“I told myself the first one to say ‘I love you’ would be the winner since I had a hard time choosing. Well, the first was Faolan and I didn’t keep my word because I really can’t believe in him after he played with my feelings in the past. During the date with Hadriel, he said ‘I still love you’. I felt flattered but didn’t trigger any of those feelings from what I used to feel for him. Then you said those words and this is the reaction you’ve got from me.” Kisho’s cold, nervous hand reached for Chrono’s warm hand and placed it on Kisho’s chest.
Chrono could feel Kisho’s heartbeat underneath is palm. “It’s beating wildly. You’re nervous?”
“Yeah. Nervous because I’m going to start a relationship with you. Relief that rivalry would finally end. Happy to return your feelings. Actually, ever since you gave me that key chain, I already decided to make you the winner. I was just waiting for another move from you that would make me declare that you’ve won.” Kisho moved to sit on Chrono’s lap.
“Bias.” Chrono chuckled. “So does that mean you won’t be getting out of the car soon?” He wrapped his arms around Kisho’s waist.
“No. Can I have my long awaited kiss now?” The first kiss was all chaste and loving as if it were their first kiss. Well, they do consider if as their first kiss as boyfriends. Then, they realized how much they’ve missed each other as the kiss turned more heated and passionate. Hands roaming around. Clothes off. Car bouncing. They really don’t give a damn if they’re disturbing their neighbors or what others would think.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“We’re a mess.” Kisho stated as they woke up in the morning, still inside the car. “After last night, I don’t think I can face my neighbors anymore.” He groaned.
“You can always stay at my house, you know.” Chrono stated as he started changing into his crumpled clothes. “But I thought that our first time as a couple should be on a bed with candles and all those romantic stuff.”
“To do it inside the car knowing that you love me is better than on a bed and you shouting Castor’s name. Now, where’s my boxers?” Kisho tried to reach it underneath the chair.
Chrono remembered their first time. They’ve been hanging out for quite a while but he still haven’t recovered from his heartbreak. Eventually, they did it with a little push of the alcoholic drinks and he shouted Castor’s name in ecstasy. He cursed himself and apologized right after but Kisho had been understanding and all. He cried himself to sleep that night in Kisho’s arm. “So you’ve loved me all those times?”
“Found it!” Kisho successfully found his boxers. “Did you ask something?”
“Nah.” Chrono shook his head in a disagreeing manner.
“I was attracted to you at that time but I started to think seriously about my feelings for you after our first time because I was confuse on why it hurts to see you pinning for some other guy.” Kisho replied as he finished changing. “I was close to confessing but you left me for Pollux so I just tried to forget it but it resurfaced when I saw you again. You’ve been a winner to me way before the rivalry.”
“So we could have been a couple a few years ago, huh? Damn, we wasted 10 years. We need to make up for it in the next 10 years. I’m sorry to say but you’re stuck with me.” Chrono said smugly.
“The ones who’ll be sorry would be your leading actresses in movies and you’re going to make it up to me each time you kiss those actresses. I forbid you to do love scenes and definitely you’re not joining in yaoi movies or series!!!” Kisho stated his rules. “We’re not breaking up anytime soon.”
“I can deal with that.” The deal was sealed with a kiss.
THE END
A/N: And that's the end of this series. I wanted to make a story for Pollux but I failed so I'm sorry. This is really just the end of it ^_^;;
