Title: I O U 5 K (a.k.a I owe you 5 kisses)
Hankyung worked as a Chinese Language teacher
in Korea during the day while Heechul worked as call center agent during the night. Although their apartment are just 2 doors away from each other, there was never a time they meet up until they arrived at China. Hankyung went to China to spend time with his family and Chinese friends. Heechul went to China together with his co-workers for a vacation.
A simple bump on the shoulder allowed them to meet. “Sorry.” They both said instantly in Korean. Heechul was shock that a Chinese spoke in Korean. Hankyung was shock because he thought that the person he bumped was a girl and definitely pretty enough to be one. They were currently at the mall with their own friends, who were asking them to hurry up and catch up. Heechul instantly ran up to his friends when he heard his named being called while Hankyung watched for a while before going back to his own friends.
It was later on the same day that they met up again. The food court had a lot of people as usual. As the saying goes “where there’s food, there’s people”…is that really a saying? “Is it okay to share a table?” Heechul looked up to see a familiar face. The guy he bumped into before. “Yeah, sure.”
Hankyung sat beside Heechul. On their opposite was Heechul’s friends, Kyuhyun and Sungmin. “Weren’t you with your friends before?” Heechul remembered that Hankyung was with his friends when they bumped each other this morning.
“Over there.” Hankyung pointed out his two friends, who were currently sharing a table with girls. “The guy who kept on flirting is Zhoumi with the girls. The guy who rivals your friend’s cuteness is Henry.” Hankyung said as he looked at Sungmin with a wink. “And my name is Hankyung.”
Kyuhyun glared at Hankyung. His hand moved to cover Sungmin’s hand on top of the table. Heechul hoped that Hankyung won’t keep on flirting with Sungmin because he is already taken and Kyuhyun might get really mad. He also wished that Hankyung would just flirt with him instead. Wait, why the heck is he wishing for that? Maybe because the Chinese guy is hot and the way he spoke Korean is also equally hot.
“Nice to meet you, Hankyung. My name is Sungmin. I’m taken by Kyuhyun, unfortunately.”
“Hey, what do you mean by unfortunately?”
“The person sitting beside you is Heechul.” Sungmin continued with the introduction and ignored Kyuhyun which caused his boyfriend to pout. Sungmin smiled at Kyuhyun’s pout and placed a quick kiss on his boyfriend’s lips to erase the pout.
Kyuhyun instantly smiled back. He was in a good mood now and no longer glaring at Hankyung. “So how did you learn Korean?” He even started the conversation.
“I lived in Korea for 8 years. I went and graduated in a university there and now, I work as a Chinese Language and Physical Education teacher.” They had a casual conversation as they ate dinner. They learned how they all live in the same city and how the others worked as a call center agent at night. Finally, Hankyung’s friends were calling him. Hankyung exchanged phone numbers with Sungmin before he left.
“You’re not really thinking of contacting him when we go back to Korea, are you?” Kyuhyun had a frown on his face when he asked the question.
“No but I really do think of contacting him while we’re here in China.” Sungmin said, which caused Kyuhyun to frown deeper. “We could use him as a tourist guide, ya know. Besides, I’m giving the number to Heechul.” He handed the piece of paper with Hankyung’s number to Heechul.
“Huh? Why me?” Heechul asked while his hand unconsciously accepted the paper.
“Because you’ve been quiet for most of the time which means that you like him.”
Although Sungmin kept on saying that they should contact Hankyung, Kyuhyun never allowed him to do so even if they got lost or have a hard time conversing Chinese and asking for a discount or bargain as they went shopping. However, Heechul found himself calling Hankyung when he got separated and lost from his friends. It just happened that Sungmin left his cell phone in the hotel while Kyuhyun’s cell phone rang a few times and then died.
“Is this Hankyung?”
“Ah! You must be one of the Koreans I met the other day. What was the name again…hmm… Heechul?”
Heechul unconsciously blushed. He was happy to know that Hankyung remembered his name. “Yeah, it’s me. I got separated from my friends and I don’t know my way around or back to the hotel…”
Hankyung asked where he was and instantly went on his way to meet up with him. While waiting for Hankyung, Heechul was looking at the different accessories with dragon designs. A hand picked up a necklace with a dragon pendant and placed it around Heechul’s neck.
“Looks good on you.” Hankyung said before shifting his attention to the saleslady. “Excuse me, miss. I’ll take this.” He said in Chinese as he handed money towards the saleslady.
“That’s a good choice for you girlfriend! Thanks for buying~ Please come again and buy soon!” The saleslady said cheerfully as she accepted the money.
Heechul couldn’t understand a thing. Hankyung laughed and explained it to him in Korean. “The saleslady said that I made a good choice to buy that pendant for my girlfriend.”
“Oh.” Heechul’s hand touched his pendant as he blushed. “How much is it? I’ll pay you back.”
Hankyung smirked when he heard Heechul yelped as he wrapped an arm around Heechul’s waist and pulled Heechul towards him. “You owe me 5 kisses.” Without waiting for Heechul’s reply, Hankyung dived in and captured Heechul’s lips.
Heechul stood frozen on the spot. Sure, he liked the guy but things are pretty much moving too fast between them. Not to mention, they’re in a public place. After getting over his shock, he pushed Hankyung away from him and covered his mouth. “What do you think you’re doing?!?!” His voiced was muffled by his hand.
“Asking for my kiss. 1 down. 4 more to go. Let’s go somewhere more private.” There was a glint on Hankyung’s eyes and a smirk as he yanked Heechul by the arm. He could feel Heechul struggling a bit but he was too strong for Heechul.
Heechul was thinking that perhaps it was really a bad idea to ask for Hankyung’s help in the first place. Hankyung looked quite a good guy although a bit flirty towards Sungmin the other day, he was still nevertheless quite a good guy. Now this is what you call ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’. “Please let go of me.” He was shock when Hankyung just instantly released his arm.
“Okay, I’ve let go of you so what are you going to do now?” Hankyung folded his arms and tapped his foot. He was expecting an answer from Heechul.
Heechul looked around. They were in some kind of alley and kind of dark despite the sun being up and shining at the sky. He knew that if he was going to try to escape, he would end up in a dead end or lost. “Are you scared?” Heechul looked back at Hankyung when he heard the question. “Are you starting to regret asking for my help?” Heechul took a step backwards as Hankyung took a step forward. “Don’t even think of running away. I know my way around and even if you’ll be able to successfully escape from me now, I can still find you later.” Heechul stopped walking backwards. He allowed Hankyung to approach him, to caress his cheek, to kiss him for the second time.
Hankyung covered Heechul’s lips with his own. He placed his hand at the back of Heechul’s neck and massaged it. It made Heechul moan in satisfaction, which allowed Hankyung’s tongue to slip inside Heechul’s mouth. Heechul shivered as he felt some electricity spark in his body when his tongue made contact with Hankyung’s. Heechul tasted sweet and inexperienced. Exactly the way Hankyung liked it.
“You really don’t know how to kiss.” Hankyung whispered against Heechul’s lips. “But that’s okay. I’m very willing to teach you.” He licked Heechul’s bottom lip before sucking on it.
“Hmm…what is this? A free show?”
“Hey, dude! Care to share your girlfriend with us?”
Heechul couldn’t understand a thing that the gangsters were saying because it was in Chinese but he knew enough that they were dangerous. He decided that it was probably better to be raped by Hankyung alone than some gang rape. He isn’t really religious. Well, he doesn’t have a religion in the first place but he was praying internally that Hankyung was not a bad guy despite being just as scary as those gangsters a few minutes ago.
“They’re asking if I could share my girlfriend to them.” Hankyung translated. “It’s funny how people seems to be referring you as my girlfriend but then again, you’re so pretty than all of the girls out there.” His hand caressed Heechul’s cheek and his thumb rubbed lightly on Heechul’s swollen lips. “Don’t worry. I won’t let any of those guys touch you. You’re mine.”
“What the heck is he talking about? I can’t understand a thing.”
“Of course, you can’t understand, idiot! He’s talking in Korean!”
The gangsters didn’t really think that Hankyung was threatening and kept on talking even if they knew that Hankyung was approaching them. They underestimated Hankyung and when the fight began, it became over too soon. (A/N: Sorry guys. I’m not good with writing action. Lolz) Heechul was able to watch how Hankyung broke arms, legs, teeth and noses. Heechul winced as he saw Hankyung punch the last guy into unconsciousness.
Hankyung approached Heechul once again. There was blood on his shirt and arms but it was obviously, not his own blood. “I’m sorry you had to see all that, princess.” Heechul doesn’t understand Hankyung. He couldn’t identify what were Hankyung’s intentions for him. He didn’t like how Hankyung can be scary and brutal yet gentle. He wondered why he is allowing Hankyung to kiss him for the 3rd time. “You kiss quite better now.” Hankyung commented when they parted from their kiss.
Heechul didn’t say anything. Maybe because he doesn’t know what to say. Maybe because he feared Hankyung in a way that made him speechless. Maybe because his admiration for Hankyung struck him speechless. They went to a store so Hankyung could buy a shirt and change his bloody shirt into a clean one. After that, Heechul arrived safely at the hotel. “Remember, you still owe me 2 kisses.” Hankyung said before he left.
“Heechul, are you okay? We were so worried about you!!!” Sungmin exclaimed as he saw Heechul enter in their hotel room. Heechul said that he was fine and that he was able to get help. He didn’t bother to mention that help was named Hankyung. It had really been a strange day for him so all he wanted was a rest. He ignored Sungmin’s questions by covering his ears with a pillow and went to sleep.
Then they finally returned to Korea. He felt lazy from the vacation so he decided to not go to work. Not just tonight but for the whole week. He made up some story about getting some sort of disease from China and so he had to stay home for a week. He opened his refrigerators and cabinets to find out that it was completely empty and devoid of food. He went out of his apartment to buy some food. The moment he closed the door of his apartment. He head his name being called.
“Heechul.” It was said in a hesitant and unsure manner. Heechul froze at the familiar hint of Chinese accent. He turned his head slowly to finally see the owner of the voice. “Hankyung!” He said in surprise. “What are you doing here?!?!”
“I live here.” Hankyung pointed to the door beside him. A door that was just two doors away from Heechul. Hankyung was holding a briefcase and a bundle of papers. He obviously came from work. “And I assume that you live here too?”
“Yeah. I lived here for the past 3 years.” Heechul couldn’t believe that he was actually neighbors with Hankyung. “How long have you lived here?”
“Two years.” Hankyung looked equally surprised. “We’ve been actually neighbors for two years and yet, we’ve only met at China. Isn’t that funny?” He chuckled as he walked closer towards Heechul. “I hope you remember that you still owe me something.”
Heechul had a sharp intake of breath before Hankyung claimed his 4th kiss. It was short and sweet unlike the other 3 kisses. “What do you say about having our 5th kiss in the apartment?” Hankyung asked softly when they broke apart.
“Yours or mine?“ Heechul still don’t know Hankyung very well. He really shouldn’t let strangers enter his apartment but his hand was already inching towards the doorknob of his own apartment.
Hankyung’s eyes were following Heechul’s hand. “Why ask? You’re obviously offering your apartment and perhaps more.” It was not the kind of romance that Heechul had thought. It was not the type of guy Heechul expected he would end up with. But 5 kisses had been a good start.
THE END
A/N: Again…it turned different from what I had planned…I’m just really affected by stress, anxiety and tiredness. It had been a bad week for me…sigh…so I hope the fic still turned out good for you guys >.<;;
