Jason is guessing things will kick off as early as the weekend of Feb 19th. I'm really hoping they don't bloom that early, so maybe the last weekend in Feb? Anyway, there are usually two weekends with enough sakura in bloom to get good photos. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed.
I think your question about the reeds is referring to the bamboo photos? hey're on the south side of the entry road, on the west bank of the creek. See the map, the vertical line of trees between Zones 1 & 2? It's part of that, right below the paved road (N. Balboa Blvd).
Cool! I've never explored the area during the daytime-- at night that area is where the dogs usually got yelled at by homeless guys when they went to investigate the bushes there...
Yeah-- I live in The Valley (at the north end). I used to have a friend who lived across Victory from the park and we'd walk our dogs there at night all the time.
Thanks for the directions-- you keep finding interesting places for photoshoots, often in places I've never even considered photo-worthy!

I had been aiming at the first weekend of March to get things done, but it looks like I'll be shifting my deadline up a week. Sewing GO!

What area are those reed-piles and reed-tunnels located in? Thanks!
