HAIRSPRAY, BITCHES!!!

Hairspray was good.  Not as good as I wanted it to be, but still good.  Most of the singing was A+.  Michelle Pheiffer totally rocked every scene she was in.  Christopher Walken: good.  Queen Latifah: good.  Amanda Bynes: surprisingly good.  I was a little worried about her, but it turns out, the girl can actually sing.  I was stunned.  And the

I think I might see it on Tuesday but after this review I've got mixed feelings-- love the cast, and I especially adore Amanda Bynes-- but yugh, John Travolta, he might just ruin it for me. Scientology is wholey against homosexuality and tries to do the "fix you back to hetero" thing (a few years ago one of my obsessions was scouring the 'net trying to find out all about it and its crazyness).

BTW, how cool to be so well-connected to the original production!

Oh, you should still totally see it. The rest of the cast did an amazing job, and, as I said, I'm hideously biased. It's not complete crap, and I think it's important to support movies that aren't complete crap, so that Hollywood will stop making movies that are.
