My dentist doesn't even have such affiliations listed online anywhere that I can find.

Many don't. We also used the "doctor locator" option (which I'm assuming is a pay-for-placement service, as it's clearly not complete) on the CMDA's website to create an elimination list.

Horrifying.
I was pleased to say that my oral surgeon, though devoutly religious (and the nicest man in the world) was not a member of this group.

Exactly.
I'm also infuriated by the continual co-opting of the word "Christian" by organizations that so clearly missed the point of what Jesus taught...
