Depression

  • Depression lurks in the corner.
  • Depression waits for an opening.
  • Depression is exhausting.
  • Depression has little patience for others, and even less for you.
  • Depression remembers every mistake, real and imagined.

Depression is a glutton, and depression can’t stand the thought of food.

Therefore depression leaves you skipping meals but eating unhealthy food at unscheduled hours, and then makes fun of you for eating crap. Although really, you don't deserve the healthy food, crap is all that should be going into your body.

Round and round it goes...

So very, very true.

Though I must admit- the one that's funny because it's true - I *snrk*ed at "Depression wants you to read the comments." QFT

Thank you for this. It helps, some days, to have a reminder. Especially "Depression doesn't care about the good things that happened yesterday."

Yeah, that one made me laugh too. I thought about leaving it out, since it didn't really match the tone of the rest, but decided to keep it. If nothing else, a thing like this needs a moment of humor :-)

More than anything, it needs a moment of humour! Coming from someone whose depression is... mostly... under control.

I need spring, with its warmth and growth and a chance to plant my garden...

This rang very true to me and not exactly in a humorous way. Depression wants you to read the comments because it is a form of self-harm, and depression wants you to self-harm.

Thank you for this.
