It'd been a few hours since Jim had realized he was completely without a voice. Veronica wasn't slow. She hadn't needed that long to figure out something was up, even if it hadn't hit her. That she'd managed to steer clear of it all just meant she was going about her usual business when she ran into Jim in the rec room. "Hey, how's - that is the girliest notebook ever, Jim. Wow. You struck gold with that. Oh, but you know what it needs is, I think you're missing a unicorn."

Jim had to wonder if the people around him that could talk were picked on purpose. It would explain why the ones who would probably enjoy this the most would be able to still talk. The glare he had been shooting at the notebook shifted to Veronica.

He motioned to the bookshelf and then shook his head in an attempt to convey he was being given no choice on using it.

It was awful and, in his shoes, Veronica would have hated it, but as it dawned on her that he was among those who couldn't talk, it was also pretty hilarious. Frowning, she rested a hand on her hip. "You're gonna have to speak up, Halpert," she said, "I have no idea what you're saying."

He rolled his eyes, mimicking a 'ha ha' sort of motion before opening up the book. The indignity of using it in front of her. was almost as bad as having to do it at all. With the pen he had in his pocket, he scribbled something and then showed her the very pink piece of notebook paper.
