If you want to hear from one of the people behind these suits, go here and select both parts of Mike Newdow - Pledge of Allegiance Case. This is from a local radio interview from about 4 years ago. Combined, both parts run about 50 minutes long.
There's a phrase about keeping one's mouth shut and letting people think you're an idiot instead of opening it and removing all doubt. Mike Newdow is the poster boy for opening his mouth and proving he's a buffoon.
i can't exactly argue with your summary. I do agree for the most part. but it isn't so much the world as it is noisy people and those in the government and press that listen to them.
I love this world and even with all it's faults I love this country.
But mostly, I love the people of the world. Those that I have contact with. you, for instance, are an amazing, insane and wonderful woman. and I still hardly know you.
some of the world may suck, but i think there is enough good people to ignore to stupidheads and enjoy the good people. :)

And since when did Christians start calling the shots? Here's an easy solution leave OUT any reference to ANY god, because it is irrelevant to this country, let kids decide on their own what they believe by not forcing them to hear an aknowlegdement of god in the classroom. Let me also further enlighten you, the words "under god" were NOT in the pledge UNTIL 1953!!! Why can't we go back to the original version??
