Shingles suck. Just so y'all know. Wearing work appropriate clothes today has been downgraded to 'uncomfortable' from 'screamingly painful' earlier in the week, but I'm still not healed.( Behind the cut: Wills, Steroids, and House News )
Well, yeah. I'd love to be living closer to work and my social life, but I do love this house, so it's no great punishment to stay in it for another winter. :) It's the uncertainty that's been so hard to deal with.
I'm not sure how it works where your parents live, but I know in MD that you can register your will with the county's Register of Wills and they will keep it on file. There's a nominal fee, but unless they have a lawyer that everyone trusts it's probably the best option.
I'll have to ask them to check into that. I don't know if West Virginia has the same kind of setup or not. I just know that if I can't get to the original because they've sealed the safe deposit box (even though my name is on it, they may seal it until the estate is settled), it will be BAD.
Yeah, it's been pretty miserable, but the Valtrex seems to be doing it's job, because it's getting better pretty rapidly. Monday-Wednesday were pretty awful. Thursday was a little better, yesterday was MUCH better, and today I'm just a little itchy and get an occasional twinge when my clothes constrict over one of the scabs. So it could have been much worse.
