Not to mention she's obviously brilliant (might I suggest possibly more brilliant than most other incarnations of her are portrayed?) I could so completely see her figuring out a good part of what's really going on.

Yeah, this is a strange AU...only three costumed crimefighters in the whole arc. But I do think she'll be stepping up to the Oracle role later.
And also yes, I think she's going to figure out the situation and then give the boys a fairly serious runaround, lol. Though if she's this bright at eight, I doubt I'll be able to write her realistically at eighteen!

So cute that Barbara is such a fangirl, she's even got sock-puppets to stir things up.

Barbara got started with the online shenanigans early here--Glad you liked her! I'm very fond of the crazy redhead...

Yeah, I'm a sock-puppet just not here...
My other alias doens't use LJ at all.
Well, maybe she's used LJ once or twice but she's a fairly BNF over in Smallville land and I wanted to keep that part of my online life seperate from the fanfic part... If that makes sense.
Anyway, I do like your Babs a lot. She's a very precocious 8 year old!
This was a fun little story...

In your mind, does this Barbara go on to be Batgirl then Oracle? Or something else entirely?

This Barbara skips Batgirl (and the shooting) and goes straight to being Oracle eventually, I believe. The details are still percolating a bit... :)
Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
