Songs: Chantal Kreviazuk, Howie Day

These two songs were songs that got me through Syncopation a lot--they're both songs of support for friends having hard times, and I imagined Clark singing them to Bruce...but there seem to be a bunch of people on the flist that could use a pick-me-up right now, so maybe they're more generic as well.

*Grin* Those songs really cheered me up. Thanks for posting them. On another note of interest, I'm from Maine too! Where in Maine do you come from?

I'm from New Gloucester, just north of Gray and south of Auburn! *waves* I feel like I've asked you where in Maine you are...was it the bangor area?

*has a terrible memory*

I'm from Skowhegan, which is near Waterville, Augusta, etc. It's about an hour from Bangor!

LOL, you mentioning Clark singing in the church choir has created evil bunnies for some totally random reason, I'll have you know.

I think it's been mentioned (in canon? or maybe just in fanon?) that with super-hearing Clark gets perfect pitch and would have perfect voice control, so I bet he can sing really well if he ever wants to...he just wouldn't have many chances as Superman and he couldn't often as Clark...

Oo! Thanks for the songs! I love love love Chantal Kreviazuk. I agree on her voice--it's amazing! Her singing gives me chills. And have you heard her rendition of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses"? So achingly moving. I don't think I've heard "All I Can Do" yet, though ... *gobbles it up*

The Howie Day song is nice, too. Yeah, Maine! ^-^ ... I've never actually been there, but my dad has been obsessed with it for as long as I can remember so I feel a bizarre connection with it. He lived there for a while at ... some distant point in the past ... and he's forever going on about he wants to move back. It's like his promised land ...

I'll have to find that! Do you know "Ghosts of You"? That's my official MotS theme song. :) Have to put it up sometime...

Maine is indeed the kind of place that will give you that kind of feeling, too! So I empathize with your father... *grin*
