They didn't even have to write half the script, all they did was copy and paste the original dialogue. I thought something was missing--the cute psychiatrist scene! Damn! That whole gun-show thing was weird. No wonder the poor little future abduct-er was like "wtf?" I kept ranting to my mom, who hasn't seen the original, "OMG THIS IS EXACTLY THE SAME!!" She was like "We've been doing that for 30 years." I was like "But not to THIS EXTENT, right?"
I won't watch next week. I do, however, wonder who will replace the little girl in the red dress as the thing Sam sees on TV? If they even HAVE that concept in this version, that is...might replace it with some stupid shit.
I know, right? It had, like, room to move around, and discernible rooms, not just some little fold-out bed couch thing. Who cares if the water was apparently tan?
I hated the weird sepia-ish tone that EVERYTHING had, let alone the green light of doom and the future and such. Basically the cinematography was shit.
the thing that bothered me the most was how differently the actors were portraying the characters, and not for the better. there were a couple of times where i was actually like UH, THAT SEEMS OUT OF CHARACTER. DOES THAT SEEM OUT OF CHARACTER TO ANYONE ELSE? even though it was a scene that was word for word the original :(
The preaired pilot... was this the one that came out forever ago before they sacked the producers/writers/directors/cast and moved the show to NY? I haven't seen that one, but I hear that it too is awful.
And yeah! You're totally right about the OOC! WTF.
loool that's strangely awesome. Yeah; O'Brien was Hunt, and it was like Chicago or LA or something, so wiki I'd say so, haha. I hated the new Annie, too. I mean, I'm sure she's a fantastic actress, but the lines coming out of her mouth were just dissonant. She looked like she'd sooner pull a gun on him than appeal to his morals.
Then again the guy they've got playing Sammy Tyler just seems too uh. I want to say competent? But that's not exactly it. I don't see a little puppet version of him coming out of a box to cry into hands because Hunt is punching in a nonce, is what I'm saying here. :C

I also did not like the weird lighting they put on Sam every time he was hearing/seeing things from 2008. GREEN LIGHT OF DOOOOOOOOM.
Ray looked RIDICULOUS. And I thought Ray couldn't GET any more ridiculous-looking.
MY RETINAS. MAKE THE BURNING STOP.
(I still want to know what they shot on my street)
