Return to the Valley of No Return

It has a ring to it, doesn't it?

Anyway, I'm just putting the final touches on my 2009 writing schedule. Yes, 2009 is pretty much booked -- no pun intended. But it's all good! I think you'll be pleased. I'm pleased because while it is a busy schedule, it is a reasonable and sane schedule. Unlike...well...those 365 days that shall soon be remembered ( Read more... )

Journey to the Center of the White Mountains was good too. But Return to the Valley of No Return....that's just awesome. It's like an Indy movie title. And it'd probably be better than The Crystal Skull. Especially if you wrote it.

Was that the damnedest disappointing movie!? Not just me, right? That was a let down.

Journey to the Center of the White Mountains...

Yes. Now THAT'S a title.

My geeky friends counted. Indy should have been dead twelve times in that movie. Really, I wish he did die, so he could have been saved from the rest of the movie.

And yes, it's a good title, but it sounds like a crossover between "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (the ORIGINAL one with a duck named Gertrude) and "Escape to Witch Mountain".

...which wouldn't be that bad. Huh.

I want to write something amazingly funny, but the fact is that I may have been celebrating my birthday last night with my friends Mr. Sidecar and Mr. Strongbow.

Ouch! I hate it when they gang up like that.

Exactly. Why should old people and losers always have all the fun?

While we've all appreciated all the books and novellas and stories you've produced in the last year, it did seem like you had set yourself a fairly brutal schedule. Here's hoping that the coming year will be a little more relaxing for you.

Yay! And oh, dear. Hopefully 2009 won't leave you using your tongue to type. You can always be like Robert Jordan bust out one seriously long book every seven years or so. We'd all gang up and thump you with your keyboard, but you could try it.

On the good side...your disappearance from the intarwebs has turned you appropriately aloof and mysterious, as befitting a mystery writer *snickers*

Don't worry. I'll be back in my lair soon enough. *g* Well, soon, anyway.
