First, plant news!

Several years ago, I got a goldfish plant at the MIT Earth day fair.  I took the small cutting, put it in some soil and tried to remember to water it.  Luckily for me, it seemed to be a very hardy little vine ;-)  Anyway, when I moved into Duxbury 2 years ago, Tina took over caring for it.  Her green thumb did WONDERS for it and ( Read more... )

Today's been a good day for me :-)  I finally got non-LJ blogs set up using RSS and Outlook, so now I won't have to scroll through everyone's non-LJ blogs anymore.  I'd prefer they all switch to LJ, but oh well.. can't win 'em all.  Since this has been on my to-do list since January, I'm just happy it's done.

I'm 2.5 weeks into school and so far, so good.  I've learned some very important lessons, like the little transformer charger thing in the middle of my computer's power cord makes a great foot warmer ;-)  I've also fallen completely in love with Parallels!  (Parallels is the VM program that I use to run Vista and MacOSX concurrently on my MacBook ( Read more... )
