Warnings: Very brief mention of naked Michael.

Notes: Inspired by a post in prison_details regarding low latent inhibition and a movie I recently watched on the subject of Asperger's Syndrome.

Some days Michael thinks he’ll go crazy because everything is just right there. He’ll try to listen to music, something soothing and classical, but he can’t since there are also people walking past his window, car horns honking, dogs barking and the dry sound of his skin rubbing against the sheets.

On those days he has to take his clothes off and lie very still on his bed, not moving too much because he can feel each fibre against skin, and should something, like a fly, land on him, he’ll scream out loud because it hurts.

On those days he keeps his eyes tightly shut, not opening them for anything, since if he does everything will be right there: every color, shadow, shape and texture, assaulting his eyes and making his head hurt.

On those days he doesn’t eat, as he can taste every spice in an average curry, and every bite explodes on his tongue, making it impossible to tell if it’s good or bad because it’s just right there.

On those days he hopes no one burns some incense, or wears perfume, since the normal smells are just enough and everything stinks because it’s too much.

On those days he is alone.
