I liked the combination of the lovely comfort of Jill's mother's presence, and then the sharp, sinister ending. I wonder how bad Alex _was_, and also whether Jill's mother used to be that angry before she died. Intriguing questions!

Alex was pretty bad, but I also had in mind the "Supernatural" effect of ghosts becoming more bitter and evil with time.
