I am turning into my term paper for Qianlaoshi a day late :( It frustrates me greatly, but that's just how the timing worked out. A nine hour shift the day it was due (at midnight) kinda screwed over my usual procrastination system, and it turns out that I'm more likely to turn it in late than do it early. Ahwell. It's coming along pretty nicely

Prepare to be annoyed as fuck.
I miss the days when I could turn in a term paper a day late and finish that fucker the night before. E_E; Now, I actually have to prepare a lot beforehand... then prepare more when it comes to Chinese... and prepare even MORE when the paper has to be done in GOOD Chinese. Sometimes, I feel damn guilty for writing my stuff in English as an extra backup to what I know to be my shitty Chinese, when the Chinese students obviously don't have that luxury, and TECHNICALLY if I'm going to an M.A. program in China then I should be doing this in Chinese no problem... because in the U.S., if you asked to write your term papers in Chinese because your English was too poor to write coherently, then you'd kinda get booted out of the program...
Well. Guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I didn't start the paper the day before it was due, fortunately - I had already picked out some articles, chosen the quotes out of them I wanted to use, read and chosen the poems, and written the introduction. Not all that bad, really, but then I had work that whole damn day and just couldn't do it x.x
I do all kinds of things when it comes to avoiding work. My apartment is about to be so clean, you have no idea - because I'm also compulsive like, once I start "tidying up", that shit has to be CLEAN.
The book marking is another avoidance thing, lol. I only have two Kushiel books and NK left! And then... I can start writing the giant Shahrizai article oh gods...
