I'm not sure how this works at your university, but for me, I had to specifically request an official transcript. It was about 5 bucks and it took a week before I could pick it up. Go to your student service center (or whatever it may be called) and ask where you can get your official transcript.
Some schools won't provide an official transcript at all until after you graduate, in which case the proof of enrollment ought to be enough.
Disclaimer: I am a fellow applicant, and have no more insight into the minds of the JET admins than you do. But I have applied to grad school numerous times, and to other things, and as each school has strict policies about what they're willing to provide, etc, JET has to deal with it.
Fortunately for you, this is right on the JET USA website: If you are unable to obtain an official transcript, you may submit an unofficial transcript, provided that it is clearly marked with the registrar’s seal and/or signature and shows no signs of tampering.
And it takes like 5 seconds for them to print out an unofficial and sign it.
I did see that, but I figured since I had AN official transcript, it would be better than the unofficial one. But thankfully the enrollment office can do rush transcripts and they're giving me mine tomorrow at noon. :) Thank you for pointing that out, though!
