Just got back from watching "Casino Royale" with my parents and sister, after eating at a Vietnamese restaurant. Awesome movie! There's so much "now" technology that Bond couldn't have used if this was how he started out (think back to what little Sean Connery had at his disposal) but I guess you're not supposed to think about that. *LOL* -
Movie recommendation
One Night With the King is a great movie! My parents' Lutheran pastor recommended it to them, so we watched it at the theater last night.
Basically the story of Esther, with much exaggeration to lengthen the run-time (2:03). There are a lot of "details" not mentioned in the Bible, but they're fun to imagine anyway. The only actor I'd heard of in ( Read more... ) -

Just watched Superman Returns with my sister and her Valp'o friend Ryan. Way awesome movie, though some items are semi-predictable.

Memorial Day
Thanks to our military...we wouldn't have our freedom if it wasn't for those who serve our country. God bless those who served, those who died in combat, and those who are currently serving.
Last night I caught the last hour of We Were Soldiers on CBS. I have the DVD already but watched it on TV anyway.

Last night I watched 102 Dalmatians after work. Partly because of Ioan (of course), but partly just because I hadn't seen it yet. Ioan Gruffudd
Updated my LJ info to include stuff about Ioan Gruffudd (YO-wahn GRIFF-ith) and his role as the title character in A&E's miniseries Horatio Hornblower. I joined ioangruffudd and I might join mr_hornblower later to post some fanfic after I type it up.
