MARTHA! It's incredible how Martha's compassion just shines through in this chapter. Ten, of course, is perfect. I love how used to this timey-whimey-ness Rory is used to by now.
Martha was my absolutely favorite companion before Rory showed up, so I just had to give them some solidarity time. I think they're very similar and not just cause of the medical thing. :)
